Interesting - I always assumed the Insignia’s were stripped to provide the components for the extra CC’s that appeared in 2014(?)

I believe the shells were stored at a farm after donating kit to the CC’s. I did hear they might be moving elsewhere though!

So, been thinking about the last remaining TBL and where it could be.

It seems the favourite is for it to be the 3rd Levorg. The assumption is that it would be for Josh Price, but as with all things in life I imagine it would be available to whoever has the £££'s to drive it.

Apart from that, you have to think what cars are available and who would have the capability to run them.

First most likely option seems Speedworks. They've run more than one car in the past so assume they have the wherewithal, I believe they have another Avensis still (albeit as a showcar in the older shape) and have been out testing with Luke Davenport. Whether that is just to aid his recovery or there is more to it I don't know. Could be a case of 2+2=5.

Other than that, cars are fairly limited. One of the Levorgs, the Chevvys (if they've not been stripped for parts), possibly a spare Civic and maybe the Parker Focus? Assuming Stuart Lines' example has provided the inner workings for the extra Cicely A-Class. Maybe even the Welch Protons!

And who might have the capability for an extra car? Parker perhaps, but it would be a different make which wouldn't be ideal. How about anyone else joining for a single car effort - maybe a new team, or perhaps Welch with a different car?

A lot of guessing and speculating there - it will probably end up being a 3rd Levorg

If it was Welch I would have thought they might have been testing it at Brands last Wednesday when they were testing their Porsche.

Stop thinking. It is the third Levorg.

Heard it was going to be announced as Price a week or so ago, but someone else might have brought something to the table to change things somewhat 😉

Didnt Matt Salisbury tweet that the grid was complete then go back on it and say there was 1 seat which was taking longer to sort out

At the recent TCR UK test, Price was referred to as a 'former BTCC driver'. Indications are that his future (2018 at least) lies away from BTCC.

Has Mat Jackson been completely ruled out for this year?

Perhaps there's some string pulling going on to get someone 'better' in the last Subaru?!

Which is a shame really given he was bussed in at the last second into a team in some disarray and run seemingly as an afterthought all year.

completely agree, will be a real shame Jackson wont be on the grid, but JP wont want to be the 3rd best driver in "his" 3 car team
