TOC did say that he came very close to a BTCC seat in 2018. But as others have said, he'd only come back to a paid seat, which would probably mean only WSR or Dynamics.

Well there is no room for him at WSR. But could being in the BMR car mean something?

TOC, like Rob Huff would only return if he were being paid. Very few drivers on the BTCC grid are in that position. Whilst it would be good to have them I can't see it happening.

As well as running their new TCR car in 2019, Team Dynamics will compete in the 2019 BTCC with two new Honda Civic Type-R FK8 cars, after having sold their two 2017 cars to another team in the championship.
Is there mistake in this statement or they really mean 2017 cars instead of 2018 cars? If they really sold 2018 cars who bought them? Norlin? |

They sold two of their three 2017 cars to BTC for 2018, kept one which tested in Spain (they only had one FK8 kind of ready, if you remember, and it was very last minute).
The idea that they’ve sold their 2018 cars to BTC is purely based on a single photo of Steve Neal shaking Bert Taylor’s hand at Brands at the end of last year. I’d put money on there only being 2 FK8s on the grid and they’ll be black and orange again. |

Whatever happens though, I hope we get a bit more than just a plain grey livery this year... |

BTC were offering drives in FK8's at £500k+ (£585k with damage allowance), not sure what they are doing with the FK2's though.

Well thats my James Cole prediction out the window for BTC Norlin then, im struggling to think of anyone aside from JP that might have the funding or sponsors to foot that one

I'm confident Bert has FK8's. The James Cole rumour fits nicely as he likely has a title sponsor, thus potentially two very different liveries. Or is it actually young Nic H or the panto villain?
The FK2s may well appear in Stewart Lines championship, would go some way to funding the FK8's. I would think Norlin is the third priciest ride after WSR and Dynamics? Or am I wide of the mark? |

I see the journo in question has said on twitter he believes that the FK8s have moved on.

I don't see this, He's not exactly someone renowned for bringing budget, as a Jackson fan, this might be a nice story but money talks over talent these days, and considering his radio silence since the end of 2017 I'm not sure he's even that interested. There are 3 contenders for me would be Goff who has talent but no money, Cole has a tie in with BTC sponsors but that may not be enough, Plato ticks all the boxes - talent (assuming he still has it) and money |
