No SEAT in STCC
Yesterday (25th) SEAT Sweden scrapped its 2004 STCC plans completely and will be transferring its budget to other areas. This leaves STCC with two cars less than expected, as team Podium can not make the grid.
It also means that the two Podium drivers, of one is British-known Robin Rudholm (ex-Duckhams Van Diemen driver), are left in the cold with no drives, only weeks away from the first tests. Robin states he will have something else put together within two weeks, and Johan Sturesson (driver no2) seems focused on the Porsche cup. Apparently negotiations between Podium and SEAT has taken more and more time, ending with SEAT to pull the plug on its STCC assault after a first learning year and deciding to focus on other areas. A big shame for STCC, touring car racing and certainly for SEAT, who were ranked a favorit for this year´s title...

Do you think Podium was asking for too much to run the SEAT program? It's really sad to hear there will be one less Works team and 2 less cars on the STCC starting grid!!

One of the former danish Toledos will be racing in Finnish Super 2000 championships this year, driven by Martti Huttunen.

Can't say anything sure yet, maybe ten, and then some older production cars to get the field bigger.

Oh, and former Primera of Tommy Rustad, you remember, the light blue one, has also found its way to Finland.
