uk f1 tv coverage - sky, bbc and ch4

I only realised halfway through the race that the Brazilian GP was live on Sky One, which is included in my TV package. Was this a one-off, or have I missed other live races too?

It was indeed a one-off, of sorts. ISTR the British GP was also live on Sky 1.

i was a bit surprised, but haapy to watch it live, but suspect falling viewer figures may have had a bearing on this.

To put the odd event on Sky 1 or Sports Mix is just a freebie taster...enjoy this then sign up for the one of our sports packages.

The equivalent on when the sports channels do a free to view weekend.

I quite like the set up on C4 but EJ does talk some :%&(. Karun Chandhok is very good and needs more airtime. Steve Jones can be a bit silly

Steve Jones is very good at linking everyone else's contributions together and moving things along, he can be 'a bit silly' but it works well for me. I like the fact that he knows his limits in terms of knowledge and doesn't try to be an expert. All in all the C4 coverage is pretty good - I think you could lose Susie Wolff and Mark Webber though.

I'm a mixture of both opinions really. I think that Steve Jones does link things together well, plus he's very good at pulling things back to where they should be when the other contributors get all self indulgent. I like Mark Webber, I like the Aussie 'saying it as it is' approach but do find Eddie Jordan quite tiring. Suzie Wolff is obviously a clever and experienced lady, but seems to me to be treated like some sort of token lady with obvious useful inside information.

EJ is ok, I think it's easier as he's not there all the time. And I think Steve Jones has done well for someone who came into the job as a complete outsider

I don't mind either channel's coverage but if I have a preference, it's C4's. Overall, they've got a good team. Having Coulthard and Webber works well, EJ is a hoot. I didn't like Steve Jones, initially but he's grown into his role and has become a good anchor and I like Karun Chandhok's analysis. Susie Wolff, does have a token quality and it would be great to hear more from her.

Formula E are showing races live on the red button, but will they show highlights on one of their main channels?

Anyway about C4’s coverage, I think the problem with Susie is she’s married to one of the team bosses, but I could be wrong there

Shame Liberty didn't change the contract that Bernie's greed put in place
