How to chill your beers without a fridge - Campsite physics

Needed:
-coolbox
-Ice from the poisonnerie at Carrefour or another supermarket of your choice
-water
-500 grs. of salt
-cans or bottles of your favourite brew or soda.

Fill the coolbox with a decent amount of water. Add the the crushed ice from the fish department, add the salt and stir. The salt will lower the melting temperature of the ice by about 10 - 15 degrees °C. The sludge will get very cold! Put in your cans and stubbies. Wait for a while for the drinks to reach drinking temperature (a lot shorter than without the salt!!)
Cheers!

Number7 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Last year, you could buy solid ice blocks (2 liter or something like that) in Carrefour. Keeps the icebox cold for a couple of days.

If you need an independent verifier for the coldness of your beer I might be able to find a volunteer ;-)

i will survive, 30 years ago we used to drink warm beer and brush teeth in same, the next year we bought water, and the amount of stuff we now "must" take has been growing steadily. Sometimes i hanker for those early days but then i reach for a cold beer or glass of red wine and the regrets are gone

Physics 101. Expanding gas cools.
Place an external gas tank IN the water. As you boil the kettle, it cools the beers at the other end...
Got that from a Music Festival 20 odd years ago.
Now I have a 3 way fridge, and stop worrying.
