Mitsubishi Withdraw From Dakar....

The latest casualty of the financial climate is Mitsubishis Dakar program:

So after leading the way for the past few years Mitsubishi pull out - I guess this years results hastened the decision, it looked like the Lancer needed some money throwing at it to allow it to fight for victories and at the moment the cash just isn't there.

Thats a massive shame, with this year's Dakar still fresh in my mind. To see BMW battling out with Volkswagen and Mitsubishi was great. The Lancer had a troubled debut at Dakar but it was a new car. I was looking forward to them fixing those problems and having a good battle with VW and BMW in 2010. Not to mention the Pajero years.......
