Nice truck, so good to see people can treat themselves buying a vehicule. I love the interior and find the center console absolutely stunning. Don't like the last picture tho, so WTF??

Thanks fellas! Appreciate it.
No, I have to let the wallet cool down and be good. I'm going to get some miles out of the tires before I level it and replace them. I just spent $1100 on side steps because I'm falling in and out of it. 1. side steps 2. windows tinted 3. new tonneau 4. 24" Magnaflow muffler 5. leveling kit 6. tires |

Short box and I can give ya a Ram trifold soft tonneau here in a bit. It's a BIT pollened currently though
And Sports option is the only way to go on DTs, just look much better without the chrome compared to the DSs. Last edited by broadrun96; 31 Mar 2024 at 02:37. |

While I've always been envious of your truck, it wasn't tell I was shopping for them when I realized what you did there. That's a very geeky order, we might just get along. |

Yeah, she was a very particular order and most would call her a budget PowerWagon or Rebel. But PW are 80k and Rebels have a GOD AWFUL interior without getting the GT package. I haven't seen another Backcountry yet locally and they stopped it this year, Akins didn't even know what it was but were very interested when it showed up, had the GM come out to see her.
But I've got a few bits and bobs coming in for her, hopefully by Mitty time they'll be in and installed. |

The Rebel is the best value Ram, imo. It looks great until you open the doors and you see the interior was designed by Guy Fieri. I told the salesman I wish they had a middle aged man edition Rebel. That's exactly what you created. |

Just picked up a 2024 Ford Maverick for work. I don't get to drive it, but it seemed pretty nice on my trip back from the dealership with it!
Initially we wanted to get the hybrid version, but then found out you cannot get all-wheel drive with that. So it was a deal-breaker. Went with the regular gas powered model with all-wheel drive and a towing package. This has to be one of the most inexpensive vehicles for sale right now, sticker price was $23,000 before the added options. I know we got the base trim level, but it is interesting to see what things are included and what things aren't. For instance, nice touch screen and connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, but no power mirrors and no blind spot monitoring seems a little odd. |

Did you have to cut around the doors to open them, as it looks as it's got serrated edges?

If that was the case, my wife would break the glass because she doesn't seem to understand this concept. Every food box in this house looks like a bear has opened it. Quote:

So after suffering through soulless vehicles because I have had to be a mostly single income person raising smaller humans, I've not had much to share. Still working on something more fun but this is my new daily. Needs a deep DEEP inside clean as the previous owner is contractor that does lots of his own work in Georgia Red Clay.....
2012 Diesel (cheater) 2.0, 6 Speed Edit- I see we started with a TDi Jetta so we might as well close the thread |

It's a cool car. Needs a roof rack stat.
I went back and looked at the beginning of the thread as well. I see I mentioned you before you joined the forum. |

Isn’t it a Golf/Jetta SportsWagen. The Golf Plus was more of a MPV style Golf, so a bit higher with a bit more space.

Correct, higher and longer as far as I can remember. Between the Golf wagon and the Touran having the arse between two chairs it knew very few success here. Quite a challenge to get rid of a used one tho.

Today I drove the brand new Maverick 50 mi to the person who will be driven by, and got to come back in a 202,000 mile Tacoma. While impressive that this truck has made it that long, I don't love these old tacomas, they are very uncomfortable for me. I'm sure if you are smaller they are fine. But at my height the low seat position does not work. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but it also seems like the steering wheel can't get out of my way. I have driven other vehicles in this class and I don't have the problem, but these old tacomas all do it.
