V8's in North America?
It could happen sometime provided they get the money together.
You know, if there is a V8 Supercars race in the USA, maybe it could be a way of saving the Falcon or it might make Ford give their forthcomming world large car RWD. |

Is Canada classed as North America? The noise around going there has been around for a while...

that was when they ran on a Sunday and Cup had a weekend off, with Grand Am running the Saturday, but they aren't this year as the Cup is on the Sunday at Michigan so Montreal is the Saturday

True that and at least Laguna has some "Euro" style pit garages (like we have in Australia) so the teams could operate in the normal way. Most Nth American tracks have a pit wall but no garages so that presents some logistical issues that need overcoming.

As far as tracks with ''Euro'' pits, that gives you the choice of a few tracks:
Already in place: Laguna Seca Indianapolis Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve Will have proper facilities in the future: Austin (New F1 track) Sonoma (WTCC event next year will require the Euro facilities) |

How about a street race? IndyCar is trying new places and might need help in filling the card. For example, they may run at Houston soon, but the ALMS will go to nearby Oklahoma instead.

So?? Friday/Saturday running in the US time zones means early morning Saturday/Sunday live TV time in Australia, seems like the way you would run it rather than try and race on a Sunday in the US and end up being shown on Monday here..
