ZXRobert should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A ? for those that have attended F1 Indy...

Greetings, folks. I'm thinking of attending the qualifying portion of the race this year, but a question regarding the notion of "general admission"; I realize this only gets you "in the door", so are you required to sit somewhere in the infield? Can you bring lawn chairs of some sort? If there's room (which I assume there would be), can you sit in the grandstands, or are those closed?

Thanks.

At all of the previous USGP events held at Indianapolis, seating has been 'General Admissions' on Friday and Saturday... meaning you could sit in any grandstand seat, or sit in the infield on the viewing mounds. If you choose to sit in the infield, you are allowed to take in lawn chairs or whatever you would like to sit on (within reason, probably no LazyBoys...). You can move between grandstands, or grandstands and viewing mounds, at will.

I have not seen anything suggesting that this policy has changed for 2007, although I cannot guarantee it... perhaps a telephone call to the ticket office would confirm that this is still the case.
