track 19 is another anticlockwise circuit and it contains 15 corners, 8 left and 7 right. the scale is 1cm=30m, giving the front straight a length of 630m(21cm).

keep the same basic shape, but move the pit straight further to the right, paling a long run to the hairpin. The pit lane then comes inside the circuit ....Oh and finally reverse the direction

now i know no one asked for this, but I got bored one day and modified and completed the 33km circuit. I probably made the combined configuration longer with the new GP circuit.

track 20 is more of a complex, with about 20 different layouts crammed into it. main configuration is clockwise but there are 2 anticlockwise layout, both use the centre S/F line and turn left.

track 21 contains a fast, oval style first half with minimal runoff, and a slow second half with plenty of runoff. scale is 1cm=30m, giving the start/finish straight a length of 300m(10cm). T1 has 10 degree banking and T4 has 4 degree banking. pit out is not banked.

300m for a pit straight is a bit short, The old Silverstone pit straight was 400m and even then the later grid spots went around Woodcote bend.
Unless of course your looking at rolling starts only into that big banked corner. |

yeah, I'm not sure how a grid start will work with a banked corner being 4 or 5 wide, so it will mainly be a rolling start circuit.

track 22 has been altered so many times its not funny. i've got 3 pics of it as I used paint to separate the circuit. the first pic is before I monkeyed about with paint, the second is the separations and alterations (red being the original, then blue being added. green and yellow being added much later.) the third is the endurance circuit. scale is 1cm=30m, giving the front straight a length on 600m(20cm). heading is clockwise on all layouts.

track 23 is a basic circuit with an emphasis on power and a low to medium downforce setup. T8 is a don't mess up corner with little runoff but will have 4 layers of tyres as a part of its barrier. more designed for touring cars. scale is 1cm=25m giving the front straight a length of 675m(27cm). another advantage is its large paddock area, meaning more support categories can fit onsite.

This a very interesting design. It's got all that is necessary for a proper test track and is also raceable. So it's a perfect site for sportscars and prototypes doing endurance racing. The Esses are especially lovely. |

track 25 is a street styled permanent facility, with a shorter layout for formula e. the corner on the far side has 5 layouts by itself (parabolica, 90-90, 45-135, 135-45 and 45-90-45). there are 2 straights after T2/3 separated by a wall with the inner straight containing a surfers paradise style chicane the break it up for formula e cars. Formula e layout also uses the hairpin 1-2-3 sequence (sorry AOB), while other categories use the 90 degree T1&2 and outer straight. scale is 1cm=30m, giving the front straight a length of 450m(15cm). as it is a street circuit, big kerbs and a surface about as bumpy as Sebring's sunset straight are a must.

track 26 is a 12 cornered, anticlockwise circuit with a unique pit lane and final corner combination. the entrance starts at T11 and has a sudden drop to go under T12 and rise back up to even before the speed line. the 2 sided pit lane has 12 and 18 garages respectively. there will be a 4 garage complex at the top for scrutineering and weigh bridge. scale is 1cm=20m, with the front straight being 400m(20m). the track is 10m wide except for the front straight after the pit out being 16m. the pit out is not a white line but a barrier to separate the pit out and exit of T12.
I would like opinion on the horse shoe pit lane |

I"m not sure if you had Sears Point Sonoma in mind with that pit lane which is the nearest I can think of to anything like that. Where you have to use a long hairpin to get into the 2 part "dogleg" pits.
At Sears Point it's a horrible compromise due to a mixture of the terrain and their not being a long enough straight for a conventional pit lane. In a modern circuit design, I don't see something like that as an option. Looking specifically at your design, the pit entry looks awkward as it would be a wide entry into the T11 apex, and it's the same wide line you'd need to be on and then stay wide from to enter the pits. Regarding level of the pitlane dropping down under T12. T12 would require atleast 25-30m between the barriers plus safety space beyond the barrier, That would make the "tunnel" something like 50m long, with down slope and then up slope of at least 50-60m each, to then have the speed line for the pits itself. 0 that's using real world measurement of Abu Dhabi's pit exit tunnel. I'm not sure your scale accommodates that. Your pit exit screams danger to me, cars accelerating out of the pitlane onto the right hand side of the track, are going to be crossing paths with cars accelerating out of T12 as the racing line takes you to the right hand side of the track especially as the next corner is a 90 left. I'm not sure where else you'd put a pit complex on that design as it is, nut for me this one doesn't work. |
