Cristiano da Matta Driver of the Year!

It is being reported that Cristiano has one the driver of the year award beating out Tony Stewart. Way to go Cristiano also a nice boost for Cart!

There was a "Get Out The Vote" drive at 7G that put him over the top I think. Hurrah for Cris! Although I see they are very ungracious about it "Cris BARELY wins ... " bah!

I think it was probably only the popularity of NASCAR that helped make the vote close. DaMatta was clearly the most dominant driver in a competitive driver's series.
Congrats to Cristiano, well earned.
