Great win by Herta!

Hopefully one of many wins for him in the IRL. Good day for Kaanan as well.

Herta wins in Kansas

Bryan Herta took his first Indycar Series win in his second start at the Kansas Indy 300! Great job from him, and the whole AGR team. Good plan by them at the end, take a gamble with one driver but play it safe with the other. All in all, was a good race, pleanty of action. One of the better races this year. lets hope Giaffone's isnt badly hurt and we can see him next time round.

peace out peeps.

That's brilliant. I'd love to hear what all the people who said "Herta sucks on the ovals" think about this...

wow, that's a shock.

His first win since Laguna Seca 1999, I believe? Good on him, great result. Can't wait to see the race now...

I'm so happy for Bryan! He's really doing a great job so far. I can't believe he didn't lead more laps though! Great race, and great to see Helio and Gil up there for Penske's 1000th start!

Hertamania! It's back!

Been awhile since Bryan's had a front line car. Glad to see he knows what to do with it.

Ovals are all about getting a rhythm, and Herta is very much a rhythm driver. For some unknown reason the chemistry was never there with Team Rahal at ovals. He was always a threat on road circuits but never ovals.

Don't know why.

But for whatever reason, AGR and Herta have been a success straight out of the box. This backs up a solid 5th at Texas.

Congrats Bryan! And many happy returns.

I'm very surprised by this, seems like he put in a gret performance for his first ever significant oval win (perhaps his first oval podium?). I really didn't think he'd do so well straight out of the box.

Sadly Giaffone's hip/pelvis injuries do seem quite serious,a dn it might finish his season. The plus side is that Alex Barron should be in contention for the drive. If there's one drive ron the sidelines who has proved time and again that he deserves a good drive in CART or IRL, it's him.

Herta drove well, admittedly abit of a fuel conservation win, rather than on outride speed, but a great drive nonetheless and thoroughly deserved victory. What a great race as well though, especially the first 100 or so laps

Shame for Giaffone, he was right up there. Who will replace, i'd assume Alex Barren, but seeing as the car is backed by Hollywood Brazil, would they (a) require a Brazilian driver or (b) not even sponser the car while Giaffone is out?

Herta has traditionally stunk on ovals, which is very strange since he's a very smooth driver (as was mentioned). Nice to see things are looking up for him.
