Yes - the one who was leading the Clio Cup and looked likely to be champion but switched to the BTCC with VLR..

I haven't heard anything about what he is doing this year...

From another forum (as I haven't seen the TV programme yet), Buxton was running in the British GTs..

i do feel sorry for Buxton. clearly a quick driver, finally got to the championship he wanted to race in, but chose a team which unfortunatly had to leave the BTCC. Bit gutting i guess!

Gutted for him, such a nice chap and a very good racer. Stick him in a Honda or Vauxhall and he would work wonders

yes it is a pity to see a guy whos worked himself hard to get into the btcc, only to see his ship sink! why coulnt B&Q sponsor the VLR peugeots, at least they wouldnt have to change the paintwork

Honda Over Run should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I entered the Michelin Renault Scholarship last year and sat alongside Danny Buxton at the first round. He was a realy sound guy and was relly pleased to be part of the BTCC and VLR. He had high hopes of being in the team forn this season. So i am sorry not to se him on the grid. Idont think he got a fair crack last year in the 307!

Neither VLR drivers really had a fair crack with a new car still being devloped. shame after all the hard work that went into getting the cars out onto the grid for round one last year and with them becoming increasingly competitive towards the end of the year, they now sit in a garage somewhere collecting dust!

Hopefully Danny will be back sometime in the future, he is a very good driver indeed. Alls he needs is some dollar and he'll be away!

So often the case in the BTCC.

Think of the Lexus in 2001, a good car that could have been a winner

The Peugeot had mroe potential than the Lexus, and would've had a good driving lineup for this year had VLR had the moeny to enter it. Peugeot have never done much in the BTCC which is a shame.

Peugeot have always been frustrating when they compete in the championship. They never seem to want to commit a budget or the years needed to champions.
