Would be interesting to know the full results from the voting, wouldn't it?

Canada's first-ever Nation's Cup!
Anybody know what the "Grip on the Season" award is all about? And does anybody wonder if Moreno gets a little mini-trophy commemorating Dominguez' "Most Improved" award? Last edited by macdaddy; 5 Nov 2003 at 04:12. |

They would add all the fastest qualifying and race laps by each of the drivers in all the races, and the fastest would win the award. At least that was what I understood |

This is the explanation that appears at the CART site:
In 2003, Bridgestone became the Presenting Sponsor of the Champ Car World Series. To celebrate the company’s unique involvement, Bridgestone has inaugurated an equally unique award. The Bridgestone “Grip On The Season Award” aims to discover the fastest driver in the series, simply based on each driver’s cumulative lap time totals for each circuit on the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford.In other words, what if we were to lay all 19 circuits, from St. Petersburg to Fontana, end to end, to create one, season long, 39.432 mile lap? If we then added up all the best single lap times, who would be the quickest? This year’s award winner was heads above the rest in both categories - fastest qualifying laps and fastest race laps. The 2003 Bridgestone “Grip On The Season Award” recipient is Sebastien Bourdais. Bridgestone congratulates Sebastien Bourdais’ superior performance, and for demonstrating his “grip” on the 2003 season with Bridgestone Potenza tires! |

Glad Sebastien got the Greg Moore Legacy award. He certainly deserved it in my mind.

Did anyone else notice how displeased Adrian seemed when he was giving that award to Mario.
