luckn002 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BTCC 2018 - Rounds 10, 11, 12 - Oulton Park

Last year Neal was on pole, with Jordan, Sutton and Shedden taking wins.

A strong RWD track so the BMWs should go well. I'd be suprised if Turkington doesn't take a win and he should be a good bet for pole.

Tom Ingram and Adam Morgan had awful weekends here in 2017, and they'll needl some more luck this time around if they want to stay atop the standings. Josh Cook sits 2nd, and was strong here in the Maximum Focus last year.

No news from BMR (yet...?) so 3 Subarus look likely - whether they'll be competitive is another matter!

BMWs will be strong there as usual. same as Croft after. Subaru should be more competitive (but that wouldnt be difficult to acheive!)

But likely to take money and more engine replacements.

The works Hondas, Tordoff and Jordan to be up there in qualifying is my bet.

By the way, where is Collard this season?

In his last two BTCC appearances he qualified on the front row, the first of which was here. Could certainly stir up something later in the day once he loses the 45kg.

Ok, so onto JPs excuses for this weekend.

Engine. If he's toing a corporate line it'll be boost and performance inequality. If he's as hacked off as he was at Thruxton it'll be reliability, poor tuning and a bad engine supplier.

Or maybe the piece of junk will run well... 2016 blew me away when the sheds came good!

My prediction is on a Honda / Vauxhall pole position. I really dont think the BMW's (and Subaru's) will be that competitive.

AJ will have no ballast in the BMW and went well there last year so could be a contender for pole.

For a defending champion 15th and 16th is relatively nowhere. Just a frustrating shame Ash hasn't got the tools to even be part of the fight this term. I can imagine he's talking to teams about options for next season already.

Simpson cheated on track limits?

surprised WSR aren't on the front row

Plato 29th so far looks like another pointless (pun intended) weekend

surprised PMR are so far back !!

Wow... don't think anyone expected Simpson on pole! Well deserved though, at least for me I think he's gone under the radar a little despite much improved results. So far all 3 race 1 wins have come from pole...

Excellent results for Motorbase with 2nd, 3rd and 8th - Tordoff must be the favourite for the win tomorrow I would think.
In fact, all 3 Motorbase and all 3 Eurotech are in the top 8!

BMWs 4th, 9th and 12th.
Subarus 15th, 29th and 32nd...

Morgan 19th, Cook 20th.

24 cars within 1 second!

As I mentioned earlier, I didn’t think the BMWs would be anything like as competitive as years gone by. I think this is (rightly or wrongly) the BOP measures really starting to bite. They are 30kg heavier (then plus success ballast) than last year, plus have now had their engine boost restricted below 120kph. So at some point this year there could be as much as a near 100kg difference between cars.

Where does Simpson come from? I'm absolutely surprised to see him on P1 byt good on him. I'd expected Turks to be further up and Collard seems like he's not there anymore pacewise. I think Jordan or Tordoff should be among strongest favourites for the win tomorrow.

Collard qualifying P12 is like a pole for him! If he can find the pace he had last year, a podium's quite achievable!

Agree with others that RWD BOP is probably a little to harsh. 30kg probably not necessary.
