Was sort of in a rush at work - should have written that the points from last year applies when it comes to the 35 guaranteed spots in the field.
As for TV coverage I only know about Scandinavia, where it will be aired live on Viasat Sport 3 at 9pm CET on Sunday, February 25th.

Don't forget folks that, for those of you with no access to NASCAR on your TV, you can always download the free TVU player.

More accurately, with the champions provisonal still available to all champions, there's 17-18 cars shooting for 7 spots.
Also, it's probably worth asking. What the hell benefit do Michael Waltrip racing (amoungst others) get from filing 3 seperate owners for their 3 cars?

Maybe because is MWR gets banned for running jet fuel in the carbs they can't take out all the other two cars....

Then why doesn't EVERY team pull this trick.
If you look down the entry list it's about half and half whether they list different owners or just one.
And in Everham's case, there's 2 of the 3 "owned" by Ray and Riggs' car isn't.

Well, beacuse the other teams all have established owner points, and therefore don't want to forfeit their entry.
But MWR doesn't have any owner points...

So all "new" teams should be doing this.
Still doesn't quite follow, Bobby Ginn is listed for the 01 and 13, the 13 being outside the 35.
Ditto, all 3 DEI cars are "Theresa", when the #15 isn't top 35.
I'm not saying you're wrong on the reason, but it's certainly not a constant.

Alot of the car numbers, 'teams' have different owners, often different to the owner of the whole organisation, why this is I'm not sure, one interesting one is Jeff Gordon is owner of #48, while he doesn't own #24
http://www.jayski.com/stats/2007/sta...2007owners.htm
I'll try to do some more research into it.... could possibly be so they can enter many cars in one race, I think the full time limit is 4, Roush had 6 cars in a race last year (Kenseth, Edwards, Biffle, Martin, Ragan and Kleuver)
oh and to answer you question about how those cars with so much power accelerate so slowly at Daytona, it's all because of the restrictor plate, it basically halfs the power available.

You're only allowed 4 full time teams but that's a very new rule so Rousch is allowed to run 5 full time for a while.

the #35 didn't run last year, so it doesn't matter who owns the car, but it provides flexibility next year when Junior leaves they can hire a new guy and not risk kicking Paul out of his ride.
