It's the Minardi story.
Teams like RSR Jaguar were just embarrassing failures on the other hand... there's a thin line between charming(ly symphatetic), and plain awful

Maybe Kolles should spend less time worrying about the Racing Point brake ducts

It's not really an endurance race if everyone has the same cars made from the same parts. More power to 'em for livening things up.

Yes and even back when they rebranded their entry as 'Lotus', which had zero Lotus in it, they at the very least did it on their own unique chassis, and not on a spec Oreca identical to other spec Orecas

This is what ACO, Oreca and Onroak want - two-make endurance racing.

And yet parts still fail because not all drivers are as fast and smooth as others. So no spec does not change the endurance aspect. Possibly you don't feel it's YOUR kind of endurance racing and that's fine and valid reason. But to say it's not endurance racing, well that's just not accurate or proper use of the language to form a sentence.

I don't really know what Onroak wants, but Oreca seems to want one-make endurance racing, not even two. The only reason they seem to be fine in leaving LMP3 to others is because they still get to supply engines and service all of those cars too. So in certain way, that too is intended as one-make endurance racing, just less transparent.

If we’re going down this route please start a specific thread on it or add to a more relevant one.
Thanks. It’ll be good practice for the approach to the Le Mans race thread...

It's called business, isn't it? You run your business to make good profit, not for philanthropic reasons...
But back to Kolles....

it looks good, keeping the colour and markings of previous cars, but up to date

not that makes any difference racewise, but never liked the gray/yellow paintscheme actually. The lotus inspired black/yellow-golden of 2014 CLM was much better

Paint flames on it and then we won't notice it's on fire for a couple laps?
But as with everyone entered, good luck, be safe and race well, hopefully the Sunday sun rises and you're on the track right side up.

When we start betting how many it will make it this year? I am going for 94 laps this time. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.
