When this project started Ginetta was sure to building ten tubs for 3 or 4 teams. We know where this story ended. I can't see any private buyer taking that on.
You know, I'm sensing a lot of parallels to the healthcare debate here.

Knowing LNT he will see that particular model didn't work and change tack. A factory entry or close to it, possibly 2.
Good luck to them!

A factory entry is not permitted for non-hybrid LMP1 so they will need to find an independent team to run the car/s.

Exactly, that’s what they’re entering as. Team LNT.

As I said factory or close to.. Maybe they are underwriting it or something? Anyway, they have lodged entries.
From DSC
“Details of the team, drivers and other parts of the package will be released in due course.”
Talks are understood to be underway with a range of potential programme partners for the WEC, Ginetta choosing to secure the entries whilst negotiations continue.

An almost guaranteed entry for LM in P1 might be the brighter prospect than a very hard fought one in P2.
Also, with pressure mounting on the ACO to 'save' P1 they might be willing to let in "boutique manufacturers" (again, pure speculation on my part but not beyond imagination). You could argue a LNT entered Ginetta is no more of a factory entry than especially a commissioned Oreca (by Rebellion).

BMW and DragonSpeed LMP1 being out now, I will be very surprised if the ACO dorsn’t let them in

Are they running a more aggressive antilag on the AER now that the fuel allocation limit is gone? Very noisy on the over run. The SMPs sounded the same at Spa this year.
Or perhaps I am imagining it.

Yes I think masquerading their own entry under LNT will work - it did for their LMP3 in 2015 - however they're not really gonna get much worth for their money this way

Which the car is; until otherwise. It's easy to run to others.

I’m sure they will be alright, I don’t think the same mistakes shall be made a second time, they have probably done their homework this time

But the homologation for this car looks to be ending in 25 months time (of which likely only 13 in semi competitive state) so there's not much time to profit on it really
Anyway, in a way this the history of this project has mirrored that of HPD ARX-04
