Ivan Mauger

I know Speedway is not a sport mentioned much on here but the greatest speedway rider ever, six time world champion, IvanMauger died last month aged 78. I had heard nothing about this anywhere and only found out just now watching speedway on BT. I was a big fan when I was a kid and saw him race on a few occasions against Kings Lynn. An absolute legend, ahead of his time.

IN an era when the sport was huge, there were lots of top riders and the sport was far more dangerous, this man was a dominant force.
That much in itself is remarkable!

I think the speedway room has gone from Donington, kevin W. has probably replaced it with Hitlers bog! I think there was an auction awhile ago of Ivans bikes . There is a display at the speedway museum at Broxbourne.
