Twitter rumor.

According to the Porsche specialized magazine, 911GT3R MY19 got 45 cars orders in the world and 4 car will come to Japan, but no one car will run at SGT in 2019.

I don't know if it's a successor to the LC, it's just a concept for now. It's one that celebrates the Supra history in Super GT if I read correctly. I would prefer that they keep the LC in GT500 and use the Supra as a jaf gt300. The teaser image looks like it has a dtm/gt500 style wing, but the rear diffuser is too big-

Unofficial confirmation that Jensen Button will do SGT next year:

Wont do full season in WEC with SMP due to two clashes with the SGT pre season test and the Fuji 500

Well some GT3 car use swan neck wing like DTM/GT500 car and Diffuser is way more like FT1 GR3 concept

And I agree for keep the LC in GT500 and running this Supra GT Concept (not confusing with GTE concept back then) at somewhere else. GTE, or JAF GT300 maybe? LC just perfect for myself tbh.

So Nissan has been firing drivers in Europe to hire new drivers in Japan?

From the sound of things there would be no factory European effort anyway so why keep them on in there’s no ride for them.

Thats not rear diffuser you see, its the side fenders that are on any gt500/dtm car right now. Car in the pic looks full gt500 spec as we have seen the cars in 2018.

From marketing point and the toyota/supra in jgtc/supergt it would make sense to come back. Or even running their cars supra/lc500 or some in EU and some in Japan at some point.

I'm not sure what you're looking at, but imo the rear of the car shows an upward shape of a rear diffuser on the Supra concept. Plus there is no bodywork attached. The gt500's have a downward triangle shape and the rear diffuser is not visible beyond the rear bodywork. The side view looks like a diffuser compared to this
