DTM- Eurospeedway
Will it be possible for the Audis to rectify there lack of race pace in time for the second round? Or won't they need to, with the Mercedes being 10kg heavier?

I think the Audis should do better at Lausitzring (less long straights) and they have the weight advantage.

I too feel the Audis will go better at the Lausitzring this weekend because as has been said they will have a slight weight advantage and therefore a handling advantage, well at least in the race anyway, over 1 lap superpole qualifying I dont think it will matter much. My money is still on Mercedes though, the circuit is a fast track and will suit the Mercedes straight line speed.

No, I'm talking about qualifying, where Mika has finished 2nd fastest! I wasn't being sarcastic. Lets hope he can stay on the front row in Superpole! |

Hakkinen starts 3rd on the grid after superpole!
Excellent stuff. Paffet, Green, Hakkinen, Ekstrom are the top 4, so we have an all-British front row. |

I am disappointed that the Opels have slipped back in the field? The initial preseasons tests seemed to put Opel in a better position. I guess the likelihood of Opel changing their mind is even less likely? Would Opel have stayed if they won the championship? If they fought down to the last race? Would a 2nd place in the championship change the executive minds?

Not gonna happen. It might have changed their minds but you can't expect to scale down an operation then suddenly 'surge' forward, unless you're properly allocating money.
Unfortunately Opel's money's still going into drivers salaries that aren't delivering for unfathomable reasons...so with just Fassler to hold the 'Opel' flag, that flag gets taken down at the end of this year for certain. |

Man I'm so annoyed I missed the qualifying its always exciting and entertaining, and I'll miss the race tommorrow as well.
Great to see Gary on pole come and man your the main driver how's favourite for the title! Great to see other English driver Jamie Green 2nd, he put in a great race at Hockenheim. I'm very pleased Hakkienen was up there, and Bruno Spengler in the year old Merc pulled out a great lap as well. |

How stupid was Ekstrom? You'd think the defending champion would be able to create an overtaking oppourtunity against against an inexperienced rookie that he was easily faster than.
Great drives from Paffett and Hakkinen. |

Does Mika have an unfair rookie advantage at F1 tracks which he's raced at for years in F1. Will he struggle at non F1 tracks? Can he get extra practice by purchasing some F1/touring car video games to familiarize himself with the track? Jacques Villeneuve claimed he learned many of the F1 tracks early in his career by playing those games?
Are there any touring/F1 games that race at all the non-F1 tracks? |
