Lol the opening chapter, they're not even pretending LMGTE to be any different from GT3 BoP wise anymore. Just few years ago people like Patrick Peter and ACO faces were still saying otherwise and how hard GT3 would be to manage in comparison to GTE.
But I guess honesty is nice, rather than lying, so good for em.

Hopefully there will be a press section for the oneoff LMP3 guests in the website.

ACO has confirmed that the series will be televised, and by the ELMS team, so the LM support round (all I care for) should then go to Motors/Eurosport and/or live streaming. Good

Series organiser the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has confirmed that gold-ranked drivers will be permitted to compete.
The original idea was that the series would be limited to silver and bronze pilots, although a driver categorised as bronze will be mandatory in each line-up.

Great, because gold drivers didn't have enough championships to run...

I've been looking around at the confirmed-for-ELMS - or elsewhere - LMP3 teams and which of them have already shown more direct interest towards the Le Mans support round (besides just CPB Sport as per few posts earlier)
Oak-'Ligier' from Duquine Engineering seems likely, last piece
http://www.endurance-info.com/fr/yan...l-faut-gagner/
Oak-'Ligier' from Extreme Limite Paris (my favorite Minardi wannabe is back!! ) is likely as they mention specifically 'Le Mans' on FB
https://www.facebook.com/TeamExtremeLimite
Race Performance has the race listed in it's calendar (has bunch of other stuff too, like WEC, so not sure how serious all of that is). But they do own Oak-'Ligier' P3 now too so maybe

The other, you know the MILLION other LMP3s showing currently interest particularly in Europe, we shall see, interesting times!
There are so many French teams popping up that the French Invasion (Revolution?) is almost inevitable.
Some LMP3-owning teams like Panis-Barthez and S024 are intending to enter LMP2s for the 24 hours, so maybe bring along the LMP3s too if you're there anyway.

Loads of LMP3 announcements have been coming through again, but none directly announcing intents for LM support race participation.
However, this is weird, as United Autosports seems to be entering GT3 for the said LM round only (not championship=, presumably expecting to get it because of their full season LMP3 campaign in ELMS. Class trade in?
http://united-autosports.com/burgan-...gt3-programme/
Unless they plan to enter LMP3s for the race after all (why not since they're gonna be there regardless?) but haven't just announced it yet, and this GT3 is just an addition to that.
All, of course subject to ACO selection.

Will LMP3 and GT3 be balanced in performance. Would a car in either category have a shot at the overall win? I've heard nothing of this yet.

They should only be BOPd to their own class rules, meaning they may interfere a little, track dependent.
Anyone know the average top speed of a GT3 vs LMP3? Guess this will count for a lot in the LM support race?

Despite having Mistral PR probably is not the greatest comparison piece considering even LMP2s have sucked hard there against the LMGTE top speeds for the last couple of years, yet easily overpowering em at Le Mans.

Pretty close then, just from a very basic comparison.
I'd still put my money on GT3 cars bringing better lap times at LM. Nothing more than a hunch though
