All I can do is 'sigh' yet again after reading another of your posts..... There are times when I wonder why you don't swap your allegiance to another sport completely. Maybe there is no BOP in tiddley-winks or something....

you're right, 2012 R18 e-tron Quattro and R18 ultra were basically in the same performance range despite R18 ultra wasn't a hybrid car at all (it just had a ballast installed on front to simulate the presence of the flywheels). But need however to remember that 2012-2013 R18 e-tron hybrid flywheel system was a really prehistoric tech and the boost release was however poor; infact despite both toyota and audi could release only 0.5MJ after each designated braking zone, toyota TS030 had a much better boost and accleration in exit corners as confirmed by audi drivers as well.
Recall that also lola dyson installed a similiar flywheel system, but as said, being flywheel nothing actually special, they basically had no real advantage against MPR HPD ARX.

Anyway, ok, toyota and peugeot LMH will be able to release hybrid boost only at 120km/h, but that doesn't change a lot actually if both of them will be allowed to have a 670hp ICE.
After 120km/h we'll get toyota and peugeot being pushed by 670hp+hybrid boost, not hybrid cars will however rely only on their ICE 670hp.

What's wrong with describing the situation and pointing out that it is not a sport anymore? I wonder why nobody says that you prefer show, not sport. By your logic Bolt had to run with extra 20 kg to make Olympics more interesting.

I think I'll sigh again. Nothing wrong with saying it at all. Once or twice..... It's a bit like, 'I wrote it down the first time you said it. I underlined it when you said it again. If you say it again though, I'm going to cross it out'. What I do the tenth time it's said, I just don't know..... Repeating something over and over again doesn't give something more weight, importance or relevance.

But if you say it here enough the ACO will finally acknowledge the opinion as the golden idea that will allow a new era of success and fields in the hundreds and every manufacturer and private team wanting to be in prototype racing

I think a more relevant example was 2009 in F1, where Brawn and RBR dominated the season without hybrids, while teams that ran hybrids often struggled to match their performance on a consistent basis.

to be honest f1 2009 example doesn't fit well actually...
lack of kers aside, brawn gp dominated first half of season because was the one along williams and toyota to have the infamous double diffuser, unfortunately williams and toyota were powered by the weak marmorini's toyota V8 and couldn't match brawn gp speed that had the more powerful mercedes V8.
When also other teams recovered their aero/diffuser deficit in the second half of the season, RBR and mclaren improved a lot becoming the best 2 teams in grid.
At the end, 2009 season was mainly about the double diffuser gray regs. zone than else. Anyway you're right, not every team had kers in 2009 season, but who had it, had also an overweighted car because of that... the extra torque was somehow compensated by extra weight, and those cars were really really heavy since from that season they had to carry on about 240L of fuel from the start since refuel were banned.
Not to mention that hybrid boost kers release of pre-2014 f1 cars was really mild, infact RBR in 2012-2013 instead of getting extra power on straight or exit corner, used it as a TCS-like system to have some extra speed in corners.

At the end, LMH 1030kg X 670hp+hybrid boost vs hybridless LMH 1030kg X 670hp, we are going basically to see another works vs rebellion show

The regulations limited the additional power to around 82 hp (61 kW) of 400kJ for six seconds a lap. Also the tech was in its infancy.

That part isn't clear at all, only for LMDh it was reported that it is a combined power. So it would make sense that it was combined for LMH too because that would obviously create a big disparity.

Also the hybrid can still probably only power the front wheels. That's in the 2019 December regs which are still the last public version of the regs. That's when ERS was already optional.
