hopefully the "banger racing" down the road will not deplete the orange numbers too much

Gonna be a good un, I can feel it in me bones. Brands Indy is made for this kind of racing - just hope someone has reminded the MR2s that it's not the RedBull air races, fingers crossed they remain on terra firma this year.

I'll be there, with my crash helmet and body armour. I'm even bringing the Ferrari!

My apologies but I'll be at the 'banger racing' as it's a lot nearer.

Looking at the weather forecast, I'm thinking of bringing an inflatable dinghy and some arm bands.

When I looked it wasn't supposed to be too bad...

I will be there both days though and can't wait!

I've sent a text to Pete, but in case it doesn't get through, would somebody please pass on my apologies, as due to being under the weather* I probably won't be making it this weekend

* - no, it's not just that I've seen the forecast, I've got a virus or some such!

Yes I got the message. I, too, am not 100% but after 8 weeks confined to house and not allowed to drive, I will force myself to come. Plus it's quieter at Brands than at home.

Well, what a lovely day that was! Thanks to all the guys on post 9, especially Dan on his first, proper day, and he said he'd be back!
Seriously, well done on the flagging and I'm really sorry it was such an awful day.
Look forward to more of the same tomorrow, but wondering what I've got left to wear. Might just wear speedos and flip flops, as I'm going to get wet anyway!

All I can say is you lot must be mad, but thanks for making it all happen. I was in the paddock for a few hours and that was bad enough. Tomorrow is supposed to be a lot better from about noon onwards, here's hoping the forecasters are correct this time.

I have a house full of slowly drying gear, pointless some may say but at least I won't be putting it on wet!! Thanks to all on 3 for a good, if uneventful day, see you in a few hours.

I'd like to say it was a pleasure to work with you but soaked through and shivering there was not a lot of pleasure yesterday! Sorry I wasn't back with you today but I was not up to another like that. Must try and get some more effective waterproofs!

Thanks to all on 24, Very interesting post, Certainly a slightly different view on things, picked up some good info there today whilst trying, albeit in vain, to stay dry.

Despite the weather, what a great weekends entertainment both on post and on track. 3 pairs of "waterproof" gloves proven to be anything but waterproof, I'm thinking that a pair of marigolds may have been more useful! Cheers to the guys on Post 6 (Sat) and Post 3 (Sun) for the company.... DTM next for me... hope the rain will have given up by then!!

We drivers need to be grateful to you folks every time we go out, but standing out there for 9 or 10 hours each day in this weekend's weather in that weather was dedication above and beyond the call.

Thanks a lot for all you do!

Thanks all

After that weekend a small vote of thanks is due to all the marshals who turned out to the inaugural brands hatch power boating competition. It was wet enough driving, heaven knows what it must have been like standing at a post all weekend.

Cheers,

Tim (RGB #50)
