Fark we're spoilt for motorsport here in Sydney atm.
Time Attack. V8 SuperCars. Muscle Car Masters. And the best part, as an ARDC member they're all free entry |

Shocking luck having the v8's one week before it, there will be plenty who have to make the decision to see one or the other and i can see v8's being the winner this time round.
I might make it next sunday to MCM after spending tomorow at the creek. Group A field is a bit light on compared to previous years by the looks of it. Formula 5000 though mmmmmm. NZ muscle cars is a take it or leave it affair, much more interested in the headline Biante touring car masters series! |

I thought it may have been the other way around nafe. The Muscle Car Masters has become a tradition for Sydney siders and the V8 marketing machine has not exactly been in full swing. Quite curious as to the numbers they get out there this weekend. I am def heading out there on the Saturday next week.

Will be attending on the Saturday to avoid the crowd and see some non stop racing with some real race cars.
Come to think of it, i could have attended the Supercars and avoided a crowd !! |

What's the issue, David. I know that some Kiwi marshalls will be there to have a "look and learn".

we were given assurances that safety concerns we had would be addressed and we confirmed yesterday that those assurances had now not been met. We were left with no other course of action but tio inform the ARDC of our immediate withdrawals. The sad thing is that both of us have entered every MCM held so far and we both agree it is a fantastic meeting. I was so looking forward to giving the bigger cars something to chase through the new extension that I think would have been an advantage for the M3s. Ahhh well, not to be. I hope I do get to run there again someday. Cheers David |

DRT won't be too happy about this, I suspect.
Specifically, from a learning perspective, could you elaborate on your safety concerns as there are a wider number of people - competitors and fans - who would interested to hear a driver's perspective. MCM looks awesome on TV, but what is it that you aren't comfortable with in the hot seat? |

Quite simply, the driving ability and attitude of one competitor who has a record and repuatation for moronic maneuvers that put people's lives in danger.
I must stress it is nothing against the organisers, flaggies, scrutineers or medical people who all do a wonderfull job there. Just one person that many have said shouldn't be in a car and two of us have seen fit to take some action before something serious happens. Last edited by David Towe; 25 Aug 2012 at 10:51. |

Just picking 2 from the list............. Stubber's Camaro if it's the same car he last raced here is a jet. Shane Wigston's HQ is crazy fast. They are well worth a look |

Let's hope the parking is sorted prior to next week. one word for today, SHAMOZEL!
Croud was reasonable today for what was/is clearly a not so high profile meeting, very relaxed. with bathurst just around the corner and the proximity of MCM next week, I think it'd be a little unfair to compare this meeting with just about anything! No corporate tent on the roof of the pits was a god send, but some of the other "Improvements" have me a little concerned (Flash backs to State Championship meetings on Oran South Circuit while karts were racing there too). |

The exit of turn two is always popular and so is the the exit of turn 12 where you might also get to see some of the new section too.

I'm glad to report we're both back in for this weekend. There has been an agreement put in place and some proceedural changes that will be a big step towards increasing driver safety in our category that satisfies us enough to re-enter. Thses proceedural changes will be implimented and improved upon in the future. Quite simply someone needed to do something before someone gets seriously injured.
Feel free to drop by the pit lane garage and say hello. Cheers David |

Had a tough day today chasing a vibration, new rubber tomorrow and hopefully a place or two higher up the results sheet. I must say I liked the new section, when I'm not stuck behind a Commodore anyway.
If you're coming tomorrow forumnick, may I suggest you be there really early, it takes forever to get through the gates later in the morning. |
