Muscle Car Masters 08
Just found out that we have a record entry list for the Group A and C (combined) races, 47 entries at the moment . I'm not sure of any other details but someone will have more info for us all.
Cheers David |

Almost worthwhile having a seperate race for each of them if there was enough room
Best of luck there this year David, and hopefully you can have a trouble free weekend this time |

Travelling up from Canberra with another 27 HSV,s and HDT,s to sit in the car club section and cheer you and Norm on, David.
Hopefully its not like a few years ago when it pelted down all day and 25% of the cars didnt have any wets. |

Thanks racer, I'm hopeful of a top ten outright. A full grid of 48(?) may well be a possibility. Separate grids may happen in coming years. The obvious way to split grids would be Group A and Group C, but I'd prefer to see the grid split by over and under 2 litres, that would put on a much better show for the paying public.

I'm supposed to be impartial and cynical - but this is one of the things I'm really looking forward to this year.
That's a lot of cars - wow! Bruce Moxon |

I saw a report Paul Stubber gave the #76 car a 'dust off' at Barbagallo recently - is Paul going to drive or will Jason Richards get the job again?

I think Jason only got the gig 'cause Paul was on holiday from racing - a CAMS-enforced holiday, that is.

I’m going for the first time this year, making the trip up with Dad. The MCM website doesn’t seem to have any news updates or entry lists, is there any new info like that available on the event?

I have entered my Schnitzer Group A BMW M3 (Chris Dubois driving) subject to permit to compete and the BF Goodrich Group C RX7. But unfortunately gearbox gremlins killed the RX7 so I have swapped to the trusty old Group N Lotus Cortina

I look forward to competing with another BM drbob, I think there could be as many as 6 or 7 on the grid next year, we're taking over. For the paying public, to see the fully restored 635 that I owned briefly will be worth the price of admission alone, I've seen progress pics and it should be magnificent!!

Oh, yeah - exactly. He brought both cars - the Camaro and the John Harvey A9-X. And didn't get to drive - and was never going to be driving. Kramer |

ZL-1
Dropped in to Thunder427s shop today & the Bob Jane Camaro is undergoing a 'freshen up' - motor rebuild by Matt Lagoon, bits from the US - assured it will be back together & at Eastern Creek. Good luck guys !!
Shame the teams very original BMW 635 wont be on show - be interesting to see it next to the ex David Towe JPS 635. |

Got the entry list today and my old 635 is not on it. I'll try to find out why and let you know. 45 entries in Group A/C, 4 races, one in separate groups.

amazing what can be achieved in a few days,'Big Red', our favourite Camaro was under going her 'five year' Overhaul, front off, check EVERYTHING!,at the same time Bob Jane.OFL (OUR 'Fearless' Leader)had requested 'power steering' so he can take part in the 'Legends' laps, well you all know nothings as discribed, 'Bolt-On',while endevouring to 'Bolt-on' the 'Close-ratio P/S box, I noticed a certain 'Wetness' were the head meet the block,it would appear ,after consultation that its not good to have a certain 'green' substance in a 'Alloy'motor if its going to 'Sit Around' a Lot,after removing the Carb/Manifold, Matt our esteemed "spanner' at 'Thunder Road', exclaimed a WHOO !#%#!!&^$#!,YOU'RE missing the lobs on your Cam shaft,!!, #@$^%*!!!!!! We have to have the 'Boss at 'Eastern Creek' in two weeks or its to the 'saltmines we have to go !!,Like,we've been doing this for how long, well long enough to have a great Network of Tried and Trusted People, Bob was "Go For It" !!, Matt was, we'll get it done , 'Crow Cams' was just fantastic, in bassically 48hrs producing us a 'new' 427 ZL1 spec Cam, once we supplied the 'Original' spec from the USA and courtesy of the good old GOOGLE,I should also mention the 'powder coaters, the Bead blaster and his competition Coating of all the parts (pipes, pistons, brackets, etc, etc),Well, tonight she fired on all eight cylinders, Best sound ever !!she does'nt start ,she errupts......we, 'WILL' see you all at the 'Muscle Car Masters' thanks to the help of some very 'Pasionate' people whom I can't thank enough for thier continued support..............MJ
