Clio wail

Have noticed this year that the Stecka Clio and to a lesser extent the Eriksson Ford wail when at hight engine speed.

Not a gearbox sound, more of something like a bearing or turbine wail?

Any ideas?

i spoke to stig about his clio wine ,he said it was just new turbo ,roller bearing ,i have never heard one like it ,sounds like supercharger.
but ads a bit more noise now as the cars are getting to quiet now

I remember Hansens RS500 doing something similar many years ago, I think he got done at Norway for using a duff turbo!! lol

Coox's Fabia makes a similar whine - I assumed that was turbo.
