Maloney's big points lead gone in 2 weekends. Wow!

At this point it appears to be a very open title race and there are some drivers still to get into their stride!

Unless you were in a Prema it seems. Apparently struggling for race pace and both Bearman and Antonelli seemed to spend much of the weekend looking in their mirrors getting out of the way. Neither collected a single point from either race for their troubles this weekend. Prema are normally the place to be, but it seems they just cant get a handle on this years car and are floundering.

Somewhat ironic that Bearman, seemingly in F1 next year bar the confirmation, sits in a higher position in the 2024 F1 WDC than he does in the F2 title race. (im serious, he is 13th in the WDC and only 17th in the F2 title chase). In fact if you take away his Monaco feature race points his F2 points tally would match his F1 tally.

Shame for Duerksen at Barcelona - given where he was in relation to Correa when his car went pop he could have been on for the win

Prema still floundering at the Austrian round as well, a combination of errors from team and drivers although Bearman's retirement in the feature race was never explained other than an apology from the driver?

The Antonelli hype machine went into overdrive after Sunday's feature race!

The F2 website headline "Antonelli charges through to victory" wasn't very misleading at all was it?!!

He totally benefited from the perennially awful Cordeel's shunt. The ensuing 5 lap caution enabled him to get the soft tyres on with zero time penalty. Re-joining 5th behind cars on very old alternate tyres put him in a very easy position.

Had that shunt not happened, he would have re-joined mid-field and needing to make up at least 20 seconds on Martins!

This was fish in a barrel stuff.

Overall, Martins is back to where he should be on pace thanks to ART getting a grip in the last few rounds. Sure he hasn't perhsps fully capitalised on this, but he was robbed on Sunday.

He also did an amazing job in Saturdays sprint making his tyres last way better than anyone else.

Verschoor was very unlucky to lose his win. Hadjar and Aron looked like very ordinary drivers and have definitely opened up the title battle to those chasing.
Bortoletto is Mr Consistent, racking up points. Colopinto usually is there or thereabouts.
Maini who normally qualifies well and plummets backwards in races managed to stay in the hunt in the sprint. But he"s just not very consistent.

Could be an even more interesting weekend at Spa if the likes of Antonelli amd Martins cam keep taking points away from the top 2 in the table.

Its social media Chunterer. After last weekend social media was full of hype for Antonelli but as you said. He had new soft tyres and was able to make his pitstop under SC which saved him loads of time while everyone else was on used hards. Dont get me wrong, the kid is very talented and will be in F1 at some point but it annoys me that a performance like that gets hyped so much. A little like the current complaints/hatred towards officials/mecachrome on social media when a driver in F2 has a mechanical issue.

Not sure the organisers covered themselves in glory yesterday.

The race had to be postponed due to weather and F1 qualy priority scheduling, but the delayed early evening race time had the field sat on the grid for too long and then behind the SC too long after Marti stopped on track.
The hasty red flag clearly confused several drivers in the pit lane as conditions appeared to he dramatically improving when no restart was called! The track and visibility wasn't even that bad anyway.

Martins and Aron.

Don't ever ask then for tips at the bookies!

Unbelievable misfortune this year.

Social media sucks so bad. Hadjar stalls on the start losing his chance at the title. You have Hadjar fans calling for him to be given a gun, one account said Campos team need to be banned from the sport. Some accounts attack Mecachrome. Very toxic.
