Brazil GP will not meet all safety requirements

From: Formula1.com
"Interlagos, the home of the Brazilian Grand Prix, has admitted that it will not be able to fulfil all the FIA safety requirements in time for the 2002 race, on 31 March.
The municipal secretary of sport, Nádia Campeão, has stated that São Paulo City Hall will not meet all FIA requirements, in particular the replacement of gravel traps with asphalt run-offs."

Don't forget melbourne is being investigated, thats 13.

I think that all the races will stay next year though. We can't have Bernie losing all that money now can we?!

Aaahhhhh.... don't worry guys. This is just a matter of money, the city hall is complaining to get more money.

Anyway, this only helps in my pledge for changing the Brazilian Grand Prix to the International circuit of Curitiba.

It's the best track in all south america, and Curitiba is known as one of the best cities in the world.

Are they going to sort turns one and two at Monza also? Or will everyone wait until the start of the race again before they remember that they are not to the drivers' liking?!

Because of the huge costs involved. Remember they only get the proceeds of the GP once a year, for the rest of the year they have to scrape by with the smaller clubby races that don't relly make any money!

Why not move the Brazilian Grand Prix back to Jacrapagua (or the Nelson Piquet Circuit)?

I know, you would have thought the FIA could have come up with something a little out of the ordinary!
