The ongoing Arrows story
The Dutch F1 station RTL 5 reported today in their weekly F1 news show that Tom Walkinshaw wants Jos and HHF to drive the A23-Cosworth, Bernoldi would go to the IRL where he would drive for team Cheever(also sponsored by Red Bull).
It could be true, the RTLF1 team hang out in the Arrows motorhomes often during the season(Because Jos drives for them) and know a lot of people there. |

2 points ..........
1st..Bernoldi made Jos look pretty average sometimes last year and deserves to keep his place at Arrows. 2nd...That Cheever IRL seat is the one that young Dan Wheldon is hoping to get , and that could be his big break into top line Racing in the USA. so i hope it don't happen and Wheldon get his chance in the IRL. |

It must be remembered that by the end of the season, the Arrows was the slowest car in F1 - therefore Bernoldi would find it difficult to impress. |

Jos has been there for 2 years, knows the team, has put in some pretty impressive drives, and I believe Orange is Dutch and sponsor him.

Orange is'nt Dutch, it is now French(taken over by France Telecom, it was owned by Vodafone but they had to sell it because of their merger with D2/Mannesman), but France Telecom also ownes Dutchtone wich will be renamed Orange this year. Lost Boys,TCC and Trust are Dutch(and sponsor Arrows because Jos driver there), Chello(UPC) is based in Amsterdam(but is American). |

I like the sounds of this rumour, steve. In the long run, TWR really want to move up the grid and have a decent infrastructure in place. The lack is funding. With a Cossie in the back in 2002, they have a real shot at making an impression-heck, even showing up Jag would be a victory of sorts. In the long term, they will have a better shot with HHF and Jos than they ever would with Bernoldi.
Why Mateschitz is pushing for Enrique. i'll never know. I'm blind to his talent. |

Bernoldi has talent - no question. Just ask DC However, he is not the racer that Jos is, and he is not, IMO, as good as Jos. OK, start throwing the bricks at me, I live 4 stories up.

I know But DC was able to really study his driving style from close quarters for something like 40 laps.

Ive never said Jos wern't a good driver , he is a good driver ......but Bernoldi doesnt get the credit he deserves..So come all you Jos fans...
if Jos is soo damm good , why did he get out qualified all the time by a young rookie with no experience ???? when Jos had great races last year , it was usually because he had about 15 laps worth of fuel in his car. |

I hear through a source at Arrows that HHF has finally signed for next year. There appears to be a problem with the Orange sponsorship still, probably something to do with coverage on TV if I'm not mistaken.

HHF and Jos would make a very strong combination. The experienced grand-prix winner teamed with a driver who is head-strong and arguably very quick.
Sure, Enrique managed to OUTQUALIFY Jos, but in the RACES (where points are earned, the money made) Bernoldi was rarely seen. The Bernoldi/Jos/HHF saga is just another show of how untaleneted drivers are kept in seats that more talented drivers deserve. |

HHF and Jos would be a great partnership - perhaps then Arrows could qualify 14th and 15th... the most Arrows can ever hope for this season is to outqualify Jaguar now and again but points scoring finishes will be hard to obtain - as usual...
