simon c should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Spa 24 Hour

apologies if i've not looked hard enough, but anybody got any links so i can book a spot on one of the campsites this year.

BTW - been here in 2002 and 2003 - Le Mans is a tad sterile comapred to this event.

any help would be massively appreciated.

I seem to have had the same problem, I haven't seen any info on the Spa 24 hours yet. Simon, have you booked a trip or are you going by car? I'm at a loss where Spa is concernd so far.

last two years i've just turned up and slept in the car.

entry tickets / access tickets / terracing tickets are no hassle, but there are a few campsites with good facilities, but (2 years on) i am still unaware of how to book.

duffacus - this place / race is magic. you can get unobstructed views at many places around the circuit. where there is safety fencing it is way short of "Stalag" Le Mans too.

Most parkingplaces have areas where you can put up your tent as well. And closest to the track most will have fresh streaming watertaps (not from a river) as well.

Who needs a shower those days...just put your head under the tap at the parkingplace and take a long bath when you get home.

osella - last two years i've gone dover to calais.

take the autoroute for reims.

at cambrai take the autoroute for valenciennes and before you know it you've crossed the border and are driving through Mons.

from Mons follow autoroute for Namur and Liege. Liege can be busy, but keep on this route until you see signs for verviers. follow road for verviers and you will soon start climbing in to the Ardennes - Spa Francorchanps is sign posted from here.

not sure how long it takes form Calais as i have stopped to look at World War 1 memorials.

C U for Stella and frites outside eau rouge at dusk. this race kicks ass!!!

I went via Dunkerque to the 6 Hours of Spa last September and it was a real easy journey

I need to organize everything first! But when/if I do finally make it I think I may need a whole new site just for those pics! I have found a better website to upload my photos on anyway; they will be up and ready soon, nothing fancy on the page, just thumbnails which look a whole lot neater.

Also thanks for the above link Saleen, it helps with all the planning needed.

Which day does the race start, on the FIAGT website it says the 1st, but this is the Sunday. Doesn't the race start on saturday 31st July?
