Ahh, but you've got 2 cars and with a little planning could with a hop skip and jump get from one race at Mallory, over to Donington then back to Mallory

Yeah but how do i get two up there and back? Black Thunder needs a longer range fuel tank and seat belt repositioning but I am on the case anyhow. i will have to see if my co driver is up for it or in the US!

Got to be the answer, get Cliff persuaded!! He's back in the UK now anyway.... spoke to him the other day. Sounds like his Mustang ran well at the Shelby meeting and at Lime Rock. Not that I am jealous in any way..... whatsoever.... |

On the last thread we had quite a few questions about Rules and Regs for the series;
HVRA Rules & Regulations - No slicks - No kit cars - No moaners or runaway winners - Three classes: i. Modified ii. FIA / Road iii. Invitation - Accepted years mainly 60's, 70's, 80's and some* 90's - Cars can run any wheel/tyre configuration (with exception of slicks per rule 1) - Drivetrain is free, but must run same engine by manufacturer - Any transmission, any brakes - Fiber glass panels are allowed - Sportscars must run a windscreen and a roof - Cars should maintain silhouette close to original form Any queries, please contact Bernie direct, always good to talk to and make sure you've got plenty of time... he always has a story! Main thing with the series is that its fun. |

My entry is in for the Camaro, lets hope she's fixed and back to her best by then. Spa was not kind to her..

Spa ain't kind to any car which is why I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in ever racing there! Not sure it should have been on the calander as I thoughtt he remit was 'budget' racing!

hmm, I have to say though, it was a great experience to race there. I can't wait to go back.
Donnington is going to be a great meeting! (trying to stay on topic!) |

Yeah probably right but way out of my financial budget at the moment, I may not even be able to do Donington for the same reason business is totally on the floor at the moment its as simple as that. Thats why I got annoyed when someone else on the other Spa thread was slagging guys off for not supporting the meeting generally, well sorry you do what you can afford to do when you are 100% self funded its as simple as that.

You were doing well at Spa in Practice, unless there are two Tom Barley's with Camaros! I take it it was wet? I kept up timings etc on the Spa website. Don't get me on about Spa and damage! At different times and in three different cars; 2 engines blown; 2 back axles smashed; two gearboxes; 2 clutches; taken off twice with a big bill, once being lapped by a Mustang and once when lapping a Capri.... etc. Last September I sponsored two other cars too, including one in the 6 hours and we all broke down! I do love it though, made many friends there, including Bernie. Can't wait till Donington! |

Ooohhh! That was soooo unlucky. It looked like you were going to just about get away with it there. What a shame to just get tagged. Hope the damage wasn't too much?
Good luck getting it repaired in time for Donington. |

Probably not doing Spa. I have enjoyed the races with Bernie so am concentrating on Bernie's V8 this year. So after this Donington on the 29th July, next race is also at Donington on the 15th / 16th September. Spa 6hrs is only a week later on the 21st / 22nd /23rd Sept. Then Bernie's V8 next race is on the 6th / 7th Oct at Castle Combe. So all gets a bit tight. More likely I may try and get into the Westfalia Trophy meeting at Nurburgring on 21st / 22nd Oct, if someone will let me in. Having said that, may have second car ready then. |

Oh, by the way. Cameras are great.... but oooooo you could feel that one happening from La Source! Wow! Hope you both get the cars sorted and doesn't cost either of you too much. |

Yeah was really unlucky, but I guess these things happen. Hopefully come Donnington, there will be no signs that it ever happened!

Thanks Rikki, hopefully it'll all be sorted before Donnington. It was wet before the race started, you can see how much spray there is as soon as Luke gets past me! 'That's racing!'
