Christmas/End of Year Lunch 30/12/10

Note from other posts that idea is to have a select bunch get together over Christmas Holidays.

There is a date .Any idea of a place or stick to the up market Ace?

Usual 20 places or less?

It is cheap and cheerful so ideal for us lot!

I'm easy, but the Ace Suits us, and its simple to get to. unless everyone want to come to Shoreham!

Mrs Zef has year end beans to count so will be working the inbetween days, but Arthur and I are free as we've had a board meeting and declared a Christmas shutdown from 24th Dec to 4th Jan

30th is good.

Now, all sorts of interesting machinery was going to be ridden/driven/pushed last year, so what's promised this year?

I`m sure me and Fay can make it again this year, Fay only comes along to try and keep the `grumpy old men` in order.

I've put it in my diary and fully intend to make it this year.
I don't think there's enough grumpy old men going?

I can't guarantee we 'get' everybody, but I know I've issued a fair number of 'drive through' penalties this year. I may have missed you!

You're right, from my cosy leather & walnut gentleman's club on wheels I don't recall seeing many of the promised bikers!

Tell you what, if it helps encourage others I'll leave a window open

I'd brave it on the scooter, but not with Arthur on the back . . . I suppose I could stick it on the back of the motorhome and do the last 3 miles!!!!

We can have a discussion on rolling starts, me and Fay will join sides with John. I think it would be a good idea as you have drivers, C of C and starter present.

Put me down for 2 - Myself, plus Sam, the fruit of my loins...

Joe, if your son is coming, perhaps the two of them can discuss the merits of Ultimate Humungosaur vs. Spider Monkey (don't ask, it seems as heated a discussion as Dunlps vs. Avons for a 4/5 year old...)

Shame it can't be somewhere in a local pub near me (Cotswolds) - Then we could have a rolling finish...!
