Yeah. Team Mugen will also makes sense. But seeing its history at GT300, probably the team will only run at several seasons as "factory team".

Strictly say, ARTA (#8) was a works team of Honda till 2007. Dome was taking charge of the maintenance of their machine till then. However, Super Aguri company is maintaining the machine of ARTA since 2008. Now Servus Japan Inc. is maintaining the machine of ARTA since 2014. http://www.servus.jp/ http://supergt.net/tandds/team/2014/6 http://supergt.net/tandds/team/2014/36 In short, ARTA (#8)&(#55) is a privater team now. The works teams of Honda are Drago (#15), Kunimitsu (#100) and Team Mugen (#16). Maintenance garage of Drago: ATJ Maintenance garage of Kunimitsu: M-TEC/Mugen Maintenance garage of Mugen: M-TEC/Mugen Is this statement right? Last edited by AkioAsakura95; 17 Sep 2016 at 11:30. |

I don't see the NSX GT3 in Super GT next year. Not at the start at least.

I agree with you, TF110. North America might be ready to release the NSX GT3 car but for Japan however, they still think that it's a work-in-progress and therefore won't invest on the GT3 program until they see results.

That's probably because they are being upgraded. If you run in sp9, you're in a gt3, which is homologated. I guess running spx is allowing them to trial new parts. I do hope it's up to scratch when it's ready for homologation.

Question is when will the upgraded RC-F GT3 show in Japan? By the time it's arrived there, Toyota already made the LC-F GT3 car and compete in Super GT.
Then again, the Nissan GT-R have already secured its place as one of the best GT3 cars in home soil, so it'll be a challenge for both Toyota and Honda to topple it down. |

I think the LM Corsa(?) team who is running one now will get the upgraded RC F. It only makes sense for them to get one since they were the first to even run it.

I see. Still, I think one of the Lexus GT500 teams will try the LC-F GT3 car should Toyota told them to do so. Lexus Team WedsSport Bandoh will be the likely candidate to run the new car apart from their GT86 Mother Chassis racecar.

Speaking about upgraded RC F GT3, I think next year LM Corsa will run only one upgraded RC F GT3 to ensure the competitiveness of RCF GT3 is well recognised and "stable" |

Also, Jorg Bergmeister is back in the #33 Excellence Porsche.
Vattana Motorsport will be the only GT300 team using Michelin tyres, and that could really provide a big boost for their competitiveness in the race (my own personal feelings about Chonsawat's character away from the track are another matter). Elsewhere this weekend, Kenta Yamashita won the All-Japan F3 title, Yuhi Sekiguchi drove the race of his young life at Sugo in Super Formula, Ryo Hirakawa got another ELMS podium, and Heikki Kovalainen did some rallying in Hokkaido. |

With the Daytona Prototypes' final IMSA race coming this weekend at Road Atlanta (hey, I'll be there!) it's a look back at the Super GT racing life of a DP-based car, the Mooncraft Shiden RT-16.

Car from onboards also sounds a bit strange. I know that it used a Toyota V8, but it sounds like it's using a flatplane crank, like the GT500 V8s in the Supra and SC430 used when they ran 4.5 liter V8s. Also, what crank configuration did the 5.2 V8 used in the '03 Supra use?
