Bit of a shock no Drago... partly confirms some other rumblings I'm hearing.

If Honda is preparing for the NSX GTE program, I hope they succeed. Otherwise, losing one GT500 team is an idiot move.

But is there some hint of Honda's interest in GTE? Is there a general interest of the Japanese in GTE? We still do not know that it was the Lexus LC 500 they were testing a few months ago. we already know that they will continue to use the RC F in GT3. |

According to SUPER GT Plus 2016.11.06
In 18:46 for the video duration , It seems that BMW M6 GT3 is suitable for the Motegi circuit. And (#25)Takeshi Tsuchiya say ARTA BMW M6 GT3 (#55) is the strong rival for his team (Team Tsuchiya) in the Motegi circuit. @Japanese Samurai (sorry i m not urging you, just share your thought) Its this description for this video (as shown as below) correct , if not then summarize the video as shown as the website below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BNg7n8y8cQ |

That's because there are many low-speed (2nd gear) corner sections. He thinks that BMW M6 (#55) is strong at Motegi. #55 has Bridgestone tire and low-speed torque, so they are tough rival. Motegi is a Stop-and-Go circuit. So a machine superior to braking and corner escaping traction is profitable. Keiichi Tsuchiya says that Vivac 86 is strong because they are light weight. |

Whether JAF-GT and MC have ABS and TCS or not is a always mystery for me.
At least, in the tech regulations, ABS and TCS are allowed since 2014. And I read that Dome carried out ABS/TCS test at shakedown of MC86 in the Autosport magazine article before. But J-sports commentary always says that JAF-GT and MC doesn't have TCS/ABS. |

That's a real, real shame if Amie isn't coming back next year. Her abilities as a multi-lingual pit reporter are so, so good.

Autosport web in-depth report of 2017 GT500 car development.
http://www.as-web.jp/supergt/63589?all Lexus changed the development style this year. So far, TRD development vehicle was operated by TRD staff. However, Tsutomu Tojo (Chief engineer of #36 car) takes charge of an engineer of development vehicle this year. This is the purpose of looking for a default efficient chassis set-up by practical team engineer. It was learned from a development style of Nissan and NISMO. |

Seems like the LC 500 is the fastest so far in testing. It's been at the top of the times at every 2017 test session so far. Imo it looks the best too. I think the best of these DTM style regulations.

Autosport web reports Ryo Michigami interview.
http://www.as-web.jp/supergt/64111?all Michigami says that his activity in the next season is still pending. He denied a relation between his driver comeback (WTCC) and team withdrawal. He'd like to return to SGT (GT500 or GT300) someday by his own team. |

A very soggy 1st practice ends with a Nissan 1-2 (NISMO 1st, MOLA 2nd) in GT500, a Merc-AMG (Gainer 1st, Miku 2nd) 1-2 in GT300.
3 red flags for single-car incidents, including a hard hit for Morio Nitta (#51 JMS 488) who needed assistance getting out of his car after going off at Turn 2. #31 Prius and #6 Wako's RC-F also went off at Victory Corner. |

Good news for Honda fans: Masashi Yamamoto announces that there will still be 5 GT500 teams for 2017, with announcement of Drago Modulo's replacement coming "hopefully before the end of the year" and by no later than February 2017.
