Nononsensecapeesh should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1958 British Saloon Car Championship

I've been studying the late Frank de Jong's website in an attempt to get an idea of the full points table for that season as it's established that only the top 6 positions are known. I've had to make some crazy assumptions in order to get the points totals right but I've got a rough idea now.

Right. Here goes....

It's established that points were awarded to the first 3 finishers in each class.

Sources:

https://btcc.fandom.com/wiki/1958_BSCC_Season
Alex Burnham's 60 Seasons book

Frank's website establishes the scoring system as 7-4-2 plus a bonus point for setting the fastest lap and the top 6 in the Standings as follows:

1. Jack Sears 48
2. Tommy Sopwith 48
3. John Sprinzel 47
4. Doc Shepherd 41
5. Alan Foster 40
6. Jeff Uren 36

Thanks for that and well done - a lot of research and deduction there.

Never heard of Doug Uren before. What car did he drive? Presumably related to Jeff Uren.

I'm interested in this period as my dad rallied a Ford Prefect then raced and hillclimbed a mk3 Zephyr with Raymond Mays head and triple SUs. Later he had number 7 off the production line Lotus Cortina which he hillclimbed. I was a teenager in the late 60s just getting interested in racing.

Doug Uren was Jeff's brother and drove a Jaguar 3.4 Litre.
