Depending on where you live in Northwich, it's about 58 miles to Loton Park.

Prescott by the way is an excellent venue but is in Gloucestershire just north of Cheltenham.

How can even Loton (never mind Prescott) be in the North West?

Try:

Barbon - Cumbria

and then consider:

Scammonden - W Yorkshire
Olivers Mount - N Yorkshire

and then there are the Scottish/N Wales ones.

Regards

Jim

Seeing as his location in Northwich then Loton is closer than any other....

North West is a relative term depending on where you live I suppose

Easy access

As far as SPEED EVENT venues are concerned the following, some of which have been mentioned, should be realtively easy to get to.

Hillclimbs:
1. Loton Park - see Blackx's earlier post for how to get there.
2. Barbon Manor - nr Kirby Lonsdale, Cumbria
3. Scammonden Dam - exit Junc 23 M62 taking the A640 thro' Outlane
4. Harewood - off the A659 Otley to Tadcaster road
NB Oliver's Mount is a heck of a drive from over on the West so I would give it a miss compared to the ones listed above.

Sprints:
1. Aintree - the club racing circuit at the Grand National course
2. 3 Sisters - Ashton in Makerfield - exit Junc 25 M6
3. Anglesey Racing Circuit - nr Rhosneigr

Harewood have a hillclimb school if you want to have a go whilst Liverpool MC run a couple of track days at Aintree.

If you want more specific information let us know as I am sure most people on this forum will be only to pleased to help.

Only to the hard-of-thinking.

I'm an absolutist in these matters. Assuming that you are speaking of England, then North cannot describe anywhere south of the Manchester ship canal and the west/east watershed is the Pennines.

Do not say things like that or the Thread Police will be on our case!

Any road up if it is North of Watford gap then according to a mate of mine it is NORTH!

As for Wales, don't get me started!

Fair play, similar thing here. Not European, not British, but English and proud of it.

Nothing against but just no Welsh ancestry and I've never lived there. So any feeling of 'Welshness' would be unfounded. Ditto Ulster.

So no offence intended (unlike Europe as expressed by the EU.)

Apart from Devon and Cornwall, very little of England is actually West of the Pennines.
