TuteZaek should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Werner wins in Toay (La Pampa) and gives the Mustang (as a nameplate) its second win in the TC, after Cabalen win 57 years ago, that also happened at La Pampa

"The old"

"The New"

In a bit of a surprising news... the both the JP Carrera team and Las Toscas racing will cease to exist following a complete fusion (as of this year they were working together on a technical side) starting from the next race at Termas de Rio Hondo.
The resulting team will be called Canning Motorsport (the name comes from the place Las Toscas shop is) and its team "aesthetics" will be formally presented in the following months to allow time to all the things (from clothing to pit dressing) to be made.

The JP Carrera is one of the most succesful teams in the series, and was a dominant force in the era of the "Super Teams" together with the HAZ team.
They got 4 TC titles, 2 with Ortelli (Chevrolet), 1 with Silva (Ford) and 1 with Fontana (Dodge, last of the brand)

Las Toscas started as a JP "Subsidiary" being "JP Las Toscas" then they went alone as Las Toscas when the JP left the series for a year, managing to get some wins thru the years. with Ledesma and Pernia, and the dominant TC Pista championship with Tobias Martinez

Nothing new, there are some teams already working on theirs (or having the shells at least), but there isn't any info other than that they're delaying the presentation, mainly because other things that the series need to resolve first with the teams.

And about that thing that needs to be resolved: the teams and the series management/owners (aka Tango Agencia and the Levy brothers) seems to have differing ideas about what needs to be done to solve the series woes.
On that end, the team owners formed, (they anounced it during the last race) a team asociation to, according to rumors, put presure to the Levys and get the things done the way the teams want them.

Not only that, but Roberto Valle (From the RV Team, Honda's work team)* and Alejandro Reggi (From ACRA, the Renault Dealership Asociation, that backs the Ambrogio team)* had a meeting with the ACTC people, and not just people, but Mazzacane himself (Current ACTC President) to talk about, allegedly, going with the ACTC CAF fiscalization instead of the CDA, and the ACTC, also allegedly, registered the "Turismo Carretera 2000" name, just in case.

So tl;dr: While the work is underway, they will be delayed, and there is a lot of drama (again) in the series.
Also the CDA/ACTC conflict has reached the series and now its added to the already murky soup.

*Both teams have ties already with the ACTC, with the RV Racing building a Chevy for a coming debut, and ACRA
being the main backer of the Trotta/Torino team

So the teams in TC2000 are considering doing what the teams in Formula Nacional did and all leave and go to the ACTC?

Hard to say, maybe is just putting presure on the CDA so they do something
There is so much hearsay, rumors and outright lies that i don't know what to believe.

Also, the ACA (CDA's parent organization) just (today) changed its president, with Cesar Carman III (grandson and son of former ACA presidents Cesar Carman and Cesar Carman II respectivelly, so maybe we can expect a C Carman IV in charge eventually ) replacing Jorge Rosales, so maybe things will change in the short term.

Almost forgot of this one: This weekend the TC and Turismo Nacional are racing at Termas de Rio Hondo together (well not in the same race, but still)

There will be several drivers that will take part in both series:

Chapur: TN C3 (Focus) and TC (Dodge GTX)
Jakos: TN C3 (Corolla) and TC (Camry NG)
Urcera: TN C3 (Focus) and TC (Ford Falcon)
Castellano: TN C3 (Cruze) and TC (Dodge GTX)
Todino: TN C3 (Corolla) and TC (Ford Falcon)
Teti: TN C3 (Cruze) and TCP (Torino)
Barrio: TN C3 (Cruze) and TCP (Chevy)

In the particular case of the ones competing in TCP (Teti and Barrio) they will have 15 minutes between the end of the C3 race and the start of the TCP one.

Thiago Martinez, curent C2 Champion and points leader was racing in TC Pista, but had to withdraw for budget reasons.

I keep missing Argentine touring car races broadcasts for multiple reasons.

In bigger news, racing legend Juan Maria Traverso died of cancer.

It's been a hard time for argentine racing and the ACTC in particular, on top of Traverso passing, there was also the murder of Garrido last week, ex tc hacer and one of the curent CAF (ACTC fiscalising branch) members

We were asking, and we got something: the VW Nivus TC2000 prototype will get on track this week in San Nicolas were the TC2000 will have its 3rd race, on friday, for two testing sessions of an hour each.
The Series was asking the people about who they want to have as a Test Driver for the outings.

Tiago Pernia (Renault Fluence - Ocasa DirecTV team) won its first TC2000 Sprint Race today over fellow rookie Figo Bessone (Renault Fluence - Axion Energy Sport) with Damian Fineschi (Chevrolet Cruze - Pro Racing) coming in third.
For the main race tomorrow, reigning champion Leonel Pernia (Fluence - Axion Energy Sport) will start from pole after his team mate Aldrighetti got his times stripped after his car didn't pass the height measurements.
Llaver (Honda Civic - YPF Honda RV Racing) and Rossi (Corolla - TGR) ended 2nd and 3rd

On the TC Pickup side Werner (Toyota Hilux - TGR) got the pole position over Mazzacane (VW Amarok - Coiro-Dole Racing) and Palazzo (Toyota Hilux - Coiro-Dole Racing) and with the 4th place of Jakos (Hilux Coiro-Dole Racing) the team got a 1-2-3-4, since the TGR team is technically part of CDR

New cars news!

First of all, the most important, the TC2000 Chevrolet Tracker being built by the Pro Racing team (with the Lincoln guys) showed its progress and will be shown, if everything goes right, in the next TC2000 race in Rosario, the 8 and 9 of June

Then, on the TC Pickup side: the Jack Power Team (the one that kinda built the "Works" Rangers) will be debuting a Ram Rampage later this year.
It will be the 8th model homologated for the series, after the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Chevrolet S10, VW Amarok , Nissan Frontier, Fiat Toro (not racing currently) and Renault Alaskan (Homologated, but never debuted, Trotta went to build the new Torino so they postponed its debut)

I'm eager for the new TC2000 cars.

Campeones described the Ram Rampage as "the American model", which is funny because it was developed and built in Brazil.

Round 6 is presumably on July 21, but the venue hasn't been announced yet. The plan was to visit Interlagos with the TCR World Tour, but I'm pretty sure that teams don't want to travel so far.
