Stone Brothers and Garry Rogers have both shown what can be done on smaller budgets.

From the outside Nissan lacked profile, everything seemed bland and low key. They needed a first class name driver. Back in 2013 they should have gone after a James Courtney type to sell and promote the team to sponsors. Even better thrown a cheque book at Lowndes.

Interesting article in this weeks Auto Action about Datsunís involvement in Australian Motorsport from the 1960ís.

I always thought that the Datsun 1000 and 1600ís were raced by privateers.

The company didnít mind spending big dollars to compete in rallying and circuit racing, to promote the Datsun brand.

Even going as far bring out a team from Japan along with the Datsun R380A to compete at Surfers Paradise 6 hour race.

Go the mighty Datsun!

Its wonder Infinity don't jump in with the Kelly's. They could use the Nissan V8 which has now had five years of development. Get Nismo to whip up a turbo 3L for 2020 and beyond. Infinity need the exposure and the Q60 would be direct Mustang competitor if people knew it existed.

Great point! The Q60 is a great looking car too.

I dunno how you fund a $4m/year racing team when you sell 100 cars a month...

I guess it could still be more than Altimas, to be honest.
