Whilst we're in 'Mark Kermode mode'- Bale played a great part as the lead in the film 'Vice' about Dick Cheney. Worth a watch.

Dont think Christian Bale has a lot to be fussed over.
Most of world thinks hes a super actor
Seem to remember he won all the prizes for the Cheney role

I'd forgotten it was he who played Cheney. A good film and good performance.

I don't recall seeing it advertised over here. I saw it in the US.

Cheney was none to pleased with Bale's portrayal and referred to him as a 'Dick'.

So I am not alone.

Thank you Mike, however, I have little regard for Kermode as a reviewer ...

I don't know whether Bale is a good actor or bad one and I wouldn't recognise him even if he hit me with a GT40 but one thing for certain is I bet he doesn't drive round in a decrepit Corsa or live in Luton. I think you have to take these films for what they are which is entertainment not a documentary

I thought Le Mans 66 was a good piece of entertainment and that the characters were pretty well portrayed. Im sure there are lots of inaccuracies, but its not a factually correct documentary.

Did anyone else spot the Brit who gained notoriety for being supposedly anonymous ?
