And so the results are in folks. A tight round with many people scoring in a similar range. The battle for bottom spot is all but over thanks to a very late entry by 'drewdog'. Will take him a minor miracle to avoid last place.

Interesting point scoring in this championship....
My drivers were second and third on the grid, one retired three laps from the end, the other won the race and I get 2 points.
Earlier in the year one won and the other finished in the top 8 and I got 27points...

Its a bit of a lottery....

This was the idea really so that guys with the 'big guns' in their team don't always win. And so we could encourage more entries with guys having lower grade drivers also having a genuine chance of winning. Massa's retirement screwed over a lot of people because he started so far up and finished so far back.

I realise its only a game and it was set up for fun, it's just that the results seem very inconsistent, even when the drivers results are similar. In that sense it seems to indicate that the results thrown up are unbalanced or lopsided and that perhaps some fine tuning may be required for next year.

What is now apparent is that if you have one of the top teams cars, (Ferrari, McLaren or BMW), you get to maintain a steady run of points.
If you have a lesser car but good drivers you are a lot worse off than if you spent top money on the car and less on the drivers.....

And you're allowed to change the drivers but not the cars????

Eg. The top four teams all run Ferrari's....
And most of the teams in the top twenty run one of the top three cars...

None of it is really important in the scheme of life but wouldn't it be better if some refinement (for the future) was found of encouraging a more balanced competition that enabled people to choose their favourite constructor, and have just as much chance of getting some really good results....

Just an idea.
