Back on March 15th Sony announced that the PS3 release date had moved from "Spring 2006" to "November 2006". They've also not yet shipped all development consoles so coders can start work on games for the platform. However it wouldn't surprise me to see them utilize the Pescas to help build the buzz...

We should know the final 12 entries this week. My prototype thoughts:
Most likely- 2x Joest Audi R10 1x RFH Dome 1x Chamberlain B06/10 2x Factory Courage LC70 1x Creation CA06/H 1x Rollcentre Radical SR9 Possible additions- 1x Zytek 06S Hybrid 1x Creation CA06/H 1x Swiss Spirit Courage LC70 1x Rollcentre Radical SR9 Outside chance (but have probably blown it)- 1x GroupBio Lola B2K 1x ProTran RS06/H 1x Lavaggi LS1 It's unclear what Jota's involvement will be at Le Mans, but I assume it involves a prototype entered under a name other than Jota. I've deliberately ignored any further GT entries but I have no doubt the ACO will add the odd one or two into the mix! Any thoughts? |

Separately is there any evidence that the Lavaggi is anything other than a windtunnel model? |

Take one Ferrari 550 off the list and add another Aston Martin. Russian Age Racing will take delivery of a second Aston Martin (in time for Istanbul LMS race), and have asked permission from the ACO to change their Le Mans entry accordingly. The car will be driven by Antonio Garcia and Nathan Kinch. Principal sponsor will be 'Cancer Research UK'. (Courtesy of InfosCourse.org)
(Perhaps Larbre will also request a change from their Ferrari 550 to their Aston Martin.) |

Arh - excellent.
The list above is just the unconfirmed 12 then. Sorry for my confusion! |

DSC is dropping a very strong hint that the GroupBio Lola won't be at Le Mans (not a huge surprise) and that the two R10s are on the entry list (again, not a huge surprise...).
When is the full list supposed to be released? |

That would, of course, raise more questions about the 6th Pescarolo driver - I certainly felt Minassian would have been top of Henri's list had Creation lost out. Let's not count chickens quite yet though... |

Why is Campel-Walter the odd man out? I noticed he wont be at Istanbul either.

I get the impression that gabbiani-Ortiz are the money men , so they get first choice . Much prefer to see the team get their 2 entries and have 1 hare and 1 tortise so to speak .

Nic is without question Creation's lead prototype driver, and is responsible for development/setup and qualifying. Jamie is more of a GT specialist, but he's getting quicker and quicker in prototypes each year. But in a one car situation, Ortiz/Gabbiani (money) are first on the list, and Nic takes the third spot to assist the pay drivers. Jamie has been doing a similar job with the Lister Storm in France helping with the Brandela/Stepec French GT project. |

Minassian is the lead driver in my view but JCW is a lot closer than most people think. Looking at race times, the difference between the two is very small. From the Creation website, JCW was doing some set-up work as well.
Coming from GTs, JCW has adapted very well IMO. Being a bit of a devil, I would like to see them in different cars!! Minassian would 'find' a secod...and so would JCW. Just so long as the cars come back in one piece...at the end of the race that is. |

In that light Minassian's one of the drivers who'd certainly end up in my fanstasy sportscar lineup and would grace any team. |

So if Creation get 2 entries, ( possible, as they showed what the car can do last weekend and have 2 full season entries for LMS ) but Zytek only get their auto invite, could the money behind the Herbert / Shimoda 2nd zytek be redirected to Creations second car to be joined by JCW ???? Just a thought.

At least Rollcentre have got a car in, but no second Zytek or Creation ( 1st reserve ) but a couple more Porsches instead. Not bad overall, pretty much as expected i suppose.

Mainly only 1 crib , which is strange for the Le Mans list , and that is
Its a shame to see that Lister in , with a Creation on 1st reserve . I cant see anything dropping out except for possibily (hope im wrong) Acemco or possibily 1 Spyker . I thought the Noble 911 might have gotten in too . Maybe it didnt enter . Dead happy about RfH , Swiss Spirit . Cant wait now . |
