Turks swapped down to P4.

Wet tires worked really well at the start of the race. Chilton, Neate, Geddie all well up in the top 10.

That can’t be classed as a deliberate overtake. Common sense should be used by the officials. Unfortunately, that seems to be badly lacking in the BTCC.

It was the result of drivers having to take split-second evasive action in order to avoid a major accident.

If a driver spins off under a yellow flag, does the result get overturned so every driver that got past him have to finish behind him?

If Colin wins, gets fastest lap and leads a lap he’s on 351 points.

If Ash finishes 5th, he’ll be on 351 points. They’d have the same amount of wins too so it’d come down to second places, which CT had more of.

If Ash DNFs, Colin needs 5th and fastest lap, or higher, to win.

Common sense was used. If it was deliberate he'd have gotten a massive penalty. However he was just shuffled back behind the one illegal overtake.

That seems completely relevant to me. Also the fact the yellows were shown long before drivers had to take evasive actions suggests they were not paying attention.

Still seems... too fast to me. Perhaps driver quality isn't too high but I find it hard to believe he's really that much faster than Webster etc.

Regardless, he is a great talent and hope he goes to Supercup too, if only to make the GB championship a bit closer!

And the stewards decide that the F4 British championship to Luke Browning. Deus ex machina. I guess the race 2 penalty wasn't enough. Really unimpressed by that, just call them in for wets and restart, or anything other than that. I know there is limited daylight, safety, and a big touring car race left in the day but there are superlicense points on offer and the title was really up for grabs there.

Absolutely ridiculous. There's half an hour until the next race. No need for a red flag and not even any need for a safety car. Just pit and change tyres.

The position reverse on Turks was fair, correct and according to the rules as far as I am concerned.

If that costs him the title then so be it. Turks could have given the place back to be safe of not breaching a rule, the team could have checked with race control or watched the replay on itv and would have established the overtake was under yellow. Or, and this may be my sense of fair play working overtime.... as a sporting gesture Colin could have given the place back. Like the respectable Gents in sports cars are good at doing so in similar situations - you first, old chap, only fair you know, tally ho!

If the F4 cars can't pit (I thought they could...), can they not change tyres during a red flag period for a restart? Zak has taken it very well, a shame since he might well have done enough. Rain looks very heavy though, saying that the sun seems to be out now...
