....then Grand Prix racing in the thirties is a movie blockbuster. There's conflict (Fagioli/Carraciola, Fagioli/Neaubaur, Pietsch/Varzi, Carraciola/Rosemeyer), scandal (Alfred Hoffman/Carraciola/Chiron/'baby', Varzi/Pietsch/Ilse) romance (Rosemeyer/Beinhorn) tragedy (Campari, Moll, von Delius, Seaman, Borzacchini, Rosemeyer to name but a few) battles against adversity (Carraciola after Monaco '33) intrigue (Stuck's Jewish wife, his persecution and help from high ranking sources, Tripoli '33) class (Lang's treatment by such as von Brauchtisch) dashing heroes (Rosemeyer, Seaman, Nuvolari, Chiron) a war, political manouvering (team orders etc.) and to top it all you have Nuvolari's win at the Nurburgring in '35....you couldn't script it better.
The more you look the more impressive the whole thing becomes, and then there's the cars...phewwwweee. Absolute monsters. And the races. Wouldn't it make a great movie? |

It did. Its called the Shell Motor Racing series and they are possibly the most exciting videos you can buy. You are describing the second film entitled "The Titans".
