Years ago BMW clamped down on people using the names MG and Rover. No one wanted to make replicas if course, but they were ruthless in making sure you couldn't call yourself "Rover Specialist" for instance.

Seems like a strange thing to be pursuing in courts in Sweden with the intention of setting precedents within the EU. Presumably, someone decided there might be more likelihood of broader success there once someone was set up to manufacture in direct competition to their own "continuation" project.

Are they also having a go at people doing similar things in the UK?

Hi folks, hope you're fine and keep safe.
Special thanks to Andy, Viva GT, bauble and EB, John and Michèle to start.
Many sincere thanks to Will 356, and Peter Mallett for the kind messages you sent too.
Being a Froggy, I couldn't imagine this kind of friendship which helps a lot when the circumstances are not really confortable…
Votre sympathie et votre empathie m'ont été d'un précieux soutien, je vous en remercie du fond du coeur. Merci encore Ã* vous tous.
Now, lets think about racing!

Oi Will.... thats my territory.... it goes with me living at the bottom end of our planet!

At Gerrymo, so glad to hear you are still alive and kicking. We were all very worried for you.

Wish you a speedy and full recovery from your illness.

You say lets talk of racing.... sadly Phillip Island (not the Classic but the S5000 and modern stuff) has been cancelled next weekend as we have today been put under stage 4 lockdowm in Victoria for the next week maybe longer after a few cases of your nasty UK variant happened overnight. Pretty well dashes all or any hope that the Classic in early March was going to be relaxed to allow more than 1 or two people per car entered and no spectators.

GerryMo,
You should not be posting here for three weeks, or until you have had a Covid free test result from Mr Mallett, or any other qualified tree surgeon.

Good to have you back. Prayers answered.

Yes , it is very good to see Gerard is still with us .

Also good that he understands our sense of humour , because the moment he appears he is insulted .
But I am sure he knows that is a British form of holding someone in high regard .

Testing today?

Didn't hear anything. I would have though snow and ice may still be laying around up there - it is here.

The battery on the Saab has died. Was OK on Wednesday and Thursday but only clicks and then died this AM - just as we were about to take it for the the vaccine run. Had to resort to the Corolla and forego heated seats. The battery was so flat I could not lock the doors but there was still something under the bonnet. So I quickly disconnected the battery just in case.

I was outside for about an hour on and off when we returned but didn't notice any track noises. Wind was in the wrong direction to enhance it if there was any.

I checked the date for the last battery change. 12/02/2017. So 7 years almost to the day. I find that to be a little too coincidental, frankly.

Interestingly both bonnet struts seem to have failed at the same time.

It's amazing the effects that a few cold days can have.
