Great Iain. Glad you enjoyed it. Was the paddock slope as challenging in the wet as I remember?

Next stop Loton Park. That's one you would really enjoy.

Certainly, Gordon. And if your remember how narrow the track and how steep the slope were in the '70s, not any truck towing anything could do it. Not mentioning cyclists and moped riders… The first ones using their feet, the last ones using… their pedals!
I dont know when the "flat out if you dare" thing came out but not from this era…

I was at 3 Sisters circuit on Sunday rallying the Escort again. 12 stages. Had a good day and finished 34th out of 44, having been seeded 51st out of 53. I probably had the only Escort there that still had an oem engine! Really enjoyed it. Just couldn’t quite keep up with those pesky WRC cars!!!

Well done for getting the finish result .
The main thing is to enjoy it , and remember , there is no substitute for experience .
So the more events you do ,the more you will start to move up the leaderboard .

Well done, Andy, keep on enjoying and finishing. As Tel says, no substitute for experience. When is your next rallye?

I certainly enjoyed it and went better than expected i think. 3 rallies completed and 3 finishes (1 in a hired MX5 and 2 in the Escort), perhaps i am not trying hard enough !!!!
Agree about experience but i can only really afford to do 3-5 rallies a year and 3-5 races so difficult to get seat time.
Doubt i will ever really climb the leader board at my age and without lots of experience either.
Its also fair to say that uk club rallying has some fairly bonkers “libre” rules really; many of the cars are “special saloons” really with 250-300 bhp proper racing engines and sequential gearboxes so my 2 litre 150bhp Pinto powered thing isnt really in the same race, if nominally in the same class! But i knew that when i decided to give it a go.
If only rallying had roughly similar “classic class” philosophies to uk club racing such as in CTCRC or CSCC.
What the hell, i am taking part and its good fun.

Not sure when i will be out rallying next. Got a race meeting at Donington in the Caterham at the end of May but i am also considering not racing at a couple of meetings i was planning to do and try to enter rallies instead. It is actually difficult to get rally entries at the moment, though. The Roger Albert Clark rally in Nov had 150 entries in 40 minutes last week - you need to be quick on the keyboard and in the car these days!

One of our local road rallies (only a short 78 mile pre-plot job) opened its entries at 6pm on Sunday and was full by 6.08...... There's a lot of pent-up demand out there....

I'm not a seller, Gordon, but could it be something that has been changed in their updated User Agreement? https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies...eement?id=4259

I got the same last week, Gordon, and thought at first 'just another scam'. But when I logged on to ebay I had a notification on there from ebay.
I think they are moving away from using PayPal and have their own payment system - supposedly cheaper.

Note. Just seen Tel's response. Teach me to look at other comments before posting.

Yes I have had a look at it and I'm not to sure what I'm going to do at the moment as the saving in money isn't that much, but they could make it awkward if you don't go along with them.
My main problem with eBay is that us as sellers can easily lose loads of money due to the scams that people are up to. Ok they protect the buyers but their sellers protection is rubbish.

Well not always they go with the sellers. I had a dispute with a american software supplier. The damn thing can work properly under MacOS but what's weird is that when the supplier accepted the idea of a refund, Ebay stated that it was too late to complain. C'est le monde ?* l'envers!

The internet is getting a bit of a joke these days, I just tried to get into my emails just now only to find that I am locked out for a while because of "too many tries". Obviously hackers have been having a go as I never leave it open and sign in every time I need to.
Do any of you 10/10thers have similar problems ?

I'm not having that exact problem Gordon but have discovered that one of my email addresses (a talk21 one) doesn't appear to be getting through to people which is annoying as unfortunately (like most people) when I send an email (or a text message) I always 'assume' that the recipient has received it!

A very realistic scam is going round at the moment, so do not click on any links in an email from Amazon. An exact copy of the Amazon site, requesting to up-date payment method. It also appears at the top of the genuine Amazon site with the same message.

Probably not new to many here but the first time I have had one of the mails.

Eternal vigilance beats the scammers.
