Some of them might be old names revisited?
Hard to believe that they will actually recognize that the track existed prior to the early/mid 90's, unless Ch7 has dug up some old footage from under the buildings? I have no trouble with a company sponsoring a corner for the telecast, but what it wrong with McDonald's Hell Corner, instead of McDonald's corner with no reference to what the corner has been called forever. No reference to Karingal Gate and the Dipper is in the wrong spot! What the? I'm also sure that Castrol/GTX/Bridgestone "Quarry" bend has had another name but I'm ashamed to say I can't think of what it was? |

Presumably they have permission from VESA for modifying a homogated part?
I would have imagined that the vibration on the rear wing would be quite high as the load increases and decreases... Caltex Chase will be interesting... |

Always look forward to this race. Hope those 888 boys can finally be defeated. It's funny that even with a few cracks starting to appear they still manage to produce the goods. Can't add much to predicting the contenders, I think the 500 was a good guide. I chose Owen/Price in the poll as a very dark horse.

I was excited by the list of cameras, obviously V8SA has approved it... or they wouldnt be running it! It's great teams are working to improve the spectacle in ways that dont stuff about with the racing, new camera angles are a great start. |

Too many cameras I think. Two cars fighting for position and they cross to an under car camera to watch a wheel and tyre?

I'm pretty sure Grant Denyer had that camera angle (rear wing) on the #777 Fujitsu Car at the Queensland round.

The heart says #9 or #17.
The head says #2 or #888. A bit of rain with 15 to go like 07 and I don't care who wins! |

I don't care for more onboard cameras - one out the windscreen is fine. Cameras placed in a position round the track to give an indication of actual car speed seems to be a difficult thing to achieve although F1 manages it. I wouldn't mind if they managed to improve the trackside sound to a point where it sounds like a V8 race car just crossed through my living room. Might have to turn down the drone of the commentators though - funnily enough I don't watch motorsport to listen to Crompton blabber on about roll bar adjustment. |
