Frankly i'm surprised he has seen out the season, so fair play for that. I guessed he might quit part way, but ive been proven well-wrong on that.

He's basically saying that he's having to totally change his driving style for the Audi and he's struggling to do it as the style needed is so far from his natural style. He wants to try the Honda as, from the onboards, it looks a very different style. He's lamenting not being in a RWD car more than anything as it would be one less thing he would need to get to grips with.

I can understand how tough it is. Switching to FWD in a fully competitive field of tin top drivers and it's hard to break into that top 15, even if you are an ex F1 Driver

Maybe there is an outside chance he could get a run in one of the old BMW 1-series cars, even if its just a test.

I think that would be a good idea, along with an experienced driver so that he has a benchmark. FWD or RWD a BTCC car is a different animal to F1 or Sports Cars.

If he gets on the blower to a young Scotsman and his dad an option for RWD machinery might be available. Ditto Dick B, if AJ is offski. Although I imagine Dicks phone has been hot lately!

They were and have been involved with a number of MB Partner drivers.

Mind you I could see AmD/TPR investing in the 2 FK2’s BTC have in their workshop to match the 2 they have already. Now i’d Love to see Jake in one of those considering what he’s got out of the Audi.

Oliphant has done alright, he has certainly got better as the season has gone on. Then again he’s got two champion teammates to learn from, so no surprise there
