Not only does it look and sound great, but it looks fast as well. I'd expect speeds up to 180 MPH or more on the front straight at Daytona... about what GTE cars hit on Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans.

So I'm wondering if Corvette will go away from yellow after all, because I don't think the red mirrors and wing endplates will look good with yellow.


If we can't have yellow, I favor this paint scheme:


It would look good on a C7.R, I think.

And yet Corvette Racing has ran a red windshield banner forever. At VIR this year they ran pink wing endplates and it looked just fine, go figure.

You gotta admit though it just looks weird on some liveries at sebring this weekend, esm being the worst with red mirrors.

Back on topic, what ever color corvette racing goes with I hope the drop the tribal designs and go with some thing cleaner. I would like to see a solid color livery for at least one season so I can understand and enjoy the lines of the new car more clearly before they go all crazy with the cheap tattoo designs.

I also think a design/livery to accent the new model lines would be a good idea.

Fair point.
They ran the pink endplates at Petit, too. They didn't look that bad.
The mirrors are more what I'm concerned with.
Might look like red ears! And seeing any red on the #4 will be weird.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the yellow. Just speculating on what they could do if they were to depart from it.
Whatever they go with, I'm sure it'll look OK.

Agreed. My favorite C6.R livery was always the plain old yellow that they ran in '05-'07. Perhaps they'll do something similar for the C7.R.

I don't see Corvette changing from their Yellow scheme any time soon.
Almost an entire generation has been brought up with Yellow Corvettes, it the same way many has Ferrari as Red.
Marketing-wise, a change would be foolish.

Good point. Corvette had a blue and white livery in the past but for the past 10 they have been yellow and no reason to change now. Same program keep the livery.

Just hope the red mirrors work better on the Vettes than they have on the #93 Viper for the past few years.

Red and yellow isn't too bad. Would go nicer if they used shell instead of mobil 1 though.

I will be HUGELY surprised if the colors in the livery are anything other than Yellow, red and black.

I wasnt suggesting they will change. Just saying the yellow/red would go well with Shell. Ferrari would look good in yellow.
