gsmith2424 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Have we heard if the C7R was running on the WEC or IMSA(US) spec Michelin's at the Roar test. I know the Vette's had problems last year at LM when they had to run the WEC tires.

The issue with the tires at LeMans last year was that Corvette and Viper didn't get the newest iteration of the Michelin tire until the Le Mans test, while the European teams received the tires at Spa, about a month earlier.

I hope they keep that livery ..... why not run in just yellow then . I reckon its smart , stands out like a sore thumb .


Where was it ever officially said that the present livery was not the definitive livery .

A base yellow livery with a check nose would look awesome , and with a check arse .

I've always hoped to see a Corvette DP in the velocity yellow livery in some way. We've seen that car in every other color so far it seems: Red, Blue, White, Black, Orange. But not the natural color of yellow.

I don't think Riley has anything to do with it, but I wouldn't expect a change to the Corvette DPs until next year. Whether that is to C7-esque body work or some other GM product, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I don't see much of a point in having 2 Corvette advertisements racing in the same series, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the bodywork on the DPs change.

I do wonder though if there is a need to spend the extra money to change the DP look if they will only be racing for a couple more years. Especially since there were some major upgrade costs this year.

Watching the Z06/C7.R unveiling stream, they just showed some glimpses of the C7.R, lots of yellow, black strip starting on top of the hood around the vent and that appears to be it, black sill stripe with a grey diagonal striped across the fender vents. Again, lots of yellow! No more tribal tattoo design!

Wow that car is beautiful. Vette, Viper, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Aston Martin all at Daytona AND Sebring! This will be the greatest GTE race we have ever seen!
